Statement of Support for Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, Unity,
Secretary Carlito G. Galvez, Jr.

In light of the directive for all Cabinet members to tender their courtesy resignations, I, Abdulkarim Tan Misuari, on behalf of Prof. Dr. Nur P. Misuari, Founding Leader and Central Committee Chairman of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), respectfully convey our unwavering support and deep appreciation for the honorable service of Secretary Carlito G. Galvez, Jr.

Throughout his tenure as Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity, Secretary Galvez has played a vital and stabilizing role in the Philippine peace architecture. He has been instrumental in advancing the peace process not only with the MNLF but across all peace tables, maintaining a posture of dignity, sincerity, and mutual respect.

His leadership in the institutionalization of the MNLF Peace Implementing Committee reflects his deep understanding of the historical, political, and cultural dimensions of our struggle. His efforts have contributed significantly to restoring trust, building durable mechanisms for cooperation, and ensuring the sustained engagement of all parties in the peace process.

Given the complexity of the peace process and the need for continuity in leadership, we respectfully express our hope that the President will consider Secretary Galvez’s reappointment. His continued presence in government is essential to the completion of the commitments we have all undertaken in pursuit of peace, justice, and national unity.

The MNLF remains committed to working with partners in government who have consistently demonstrated integrity, competence, and a genuine commitment to the peace process. In this regard, we hold Secretary Carlito G. Galvez, Jr. in the highest regard.
