Students of The Notre Dame of Kabacan, Inc. (NDKI) experienced an exciting and educational activity during the first day of the Math and Science Culmination on October 29, 2025. One of the highlights of the event was the “Snake & Ladder: Periodic Table Edition,” a creative twist on the classic board game that combined fun and learning about chemical elements.

The activity challenged participants to apply their knowledge of the Periodic Table while strategizing their moves to reach the finish line. The blend of competition, teamwork, and scientific thinking kept the players fully engaged and energized throughout the game.

The winners of the competition were as follows:

𝐒𝐮𝐝𝐨𝐤𝐮 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: 𝐏𝐮𝐳𝐳𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡-𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

Students showcased their talents in the Sudoku competition held at the NDKI Grade 1 classroom on October 29, 2025, as part of the Math-Scie 2025 Culmination Day 1.

With perseverance and dedication, participants solved challenging Sudoku puzzles to claim the title of “Champion.” The Grade 11 students emerged victorious after a thrilling championship match against the Grade 8 contenders. Each participant displayed remarkable focus, respect, and love for the game throughout the competition.

As the event concluded, participants shared that even in defeat, they learned valuable lessons embracing the school’s well-known value of respect above all.

Students of The Notre Dame of Kabacan, Inc. demonstrated their talent and creativity during the Math-Scie 2025 Culmination Day 1, held at the school pavilion on October 29, 2025. The activity was organized by the Math-Scie Department as part of its annual celebration promoting appreciation and engagement in the fields of mathematics and science.

The event featured various contests designed to showcase students’ ingenuity and knowledge. In the Famous Mathematician Look-Alike Contest, the Grade 12 curriculum was declared champion, followed by Grade 10 as first runner-up, Grade 11 as second runner-up, and Grade 7 as third runner-up.

Meanwhile, in the Famous Scientist Look-Alike Contest, Grade 12 once again secured the championship title, with Grade 9, Grade 11, and Grade 10 earning the first, second, and third runner-up positions, respectively.

The event concluded on a high note, reflecting the students’ enthusiasm and the department’s commitment to fostering a deeper understanding of scientific and mathematical concepts. Through activities such as these, the Math-Scie Department continues to inspire learners to pursue excellence, innovation, and intellectual curiosity in their academic journey.

October 27, 2025 — The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) conducted a fire drill at The Notre Dame of Kabacan, Inc. (NDKI). Led by FO2 Jan Evans Z. Villanueva, FO1 Ain B. Bueno, and FO1 Joemarie A. Roquero Jr., the BFP personnel guided students and teachers on crucial safety practices in the event of a fire. The session included insights into the hazards of flammable materials and cautious procedures for an emergency.

The BFP team also demonstrated the correct use and handling of a fire extinguisher, followed by hands-on practice for both students and teachers, ensuring practical disaster preparedness for the NDKI community.

𝐍𝐃𝐊𝐈 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐬

KABACAN, COTABATO — The Notre Dame of Kabacan, Inc. (NDKI) showcased its mathematical prowess as it secured multiple awards during the 2025 Municipal Mathematics Olympics held on October 18, 2025, at USM Annex Central Elementary School. Guided by the theme “Across the Curve: Fostering Critical Thinking, Creativity, and Real-World-Math,” the competition gathered exceptional math talents from across the municipality.

Leading NDKI’s victories was Mullah Mohammad Mamaluba, who reigned supreme in the DAMATH 10 – Polynomials category. He outperformed Aringay National High School with a commanding 171,773–7,256 score in the first round and triumphed over Lumayong National High School with 40,406–407 in the second, earning the championship title and the right to represent Kabacan at the Division Level.

The school’s Math Trail team—composed of Yuri Pedtucasan, Princess Jalleha Kesha Panalindang, and Christian Yare—secured an impressive 3rd Place, following University Laboratory School (1st) and Gil Manalo High School (2nd).

In addition, Keziah Jeminah Andog earned a 4th Place finish in the Sudoku competition, further contributing to NDKI’s strong overall showing.

The event underscored the importance of critical thinking and collaboration in mathematical problem-solving. NDKI’s consistent performance reflects its dedication to academic excellence and to fostering students who think creatively and apply mathematics to real-world challenges.

KIDAPAWAN CITY, Cotabato — October 16, 2025 — Representing The Notre Dame of Kabacan, Inc. (NDKI), Kristine Grace Lumoya proudly earned 5th place in the 2025 Provincial S.U.P.E.R Consumer Quiz Show held at the Activity Center of Gaisano Grand Mall, Kidapawan City. The competition brought together 49 schools from across Cotabato, showcasing the best and brightest students in consumer education.

Emerging as this year’s champion was Matalam National High School, followed by Kidapawan City National High School in second place. M'lang National High School secured the third spot, while Pikit National High School placed fourth. Rounding out the top five was The Notre Dame of Kabacan, Inc., represented by Lumoya, whose performance reflected both knowledge and composure under pressure.

The Provincial S.U.P.E.R (Students’ Understanding of Philippine Economic Realities) Consumer Quiz Show aimed to promote consumer rights awareness and financial literacy among students, in line with the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) advocacy for responsible and informed consumers.

The Notre Dame of Kabacan, Inc. (NDKI) Chess Team delivered an impressive performance at the COPRISA Area 2 Meet held at St. Luke’s Institute, Inc. (SLII) Library, showcasing strategic skill and sportsmanship in a competition that brought together young chess talents from across the area.

In the Girls’ Category with 15 participants, Maitog secured a Top 5 finish, while Engat placed Top 11. In the Boys’ Category, which featured 16 participants, Ramos earned Top 11, and Santos followed closely at Top 12, both displaying remarkable focus and composure on the board.

The quiet halls of SLII echoed with intense concentration as competitors carefully plotted each move, embodying patience, discipline, and respect—hallmarks of true sportsmanship.

The NDKI Chess Team’s strong showing highlighted not only their dedication to excellence but also their commitment to upholding the school’s values of perseverance and integrity. Their performance serves as a reminder that in chess, as in life, victory lies in strategy, growth, and the determination to think one step ahead.

The NDKI Paliwato Dance Troupe of the Notre Dame of Kabacan, Inc. (NDKI) proudly emerged as the champion in the COPRISA 2025 Folk Dance Competition, held at NDKI Pavilion, on October 15, 2025.

The event gathered talented students from various schools to celebrate the richness of Filipino culture through traditional folk dances. With their graceful movements, colorful costumes, and captivating stage presence, the NDKI Paliwato Dance Troupe impressed both the judges and the audience, earning the top spot in the competition.

As champions, the group will represent Area 2 in the upcoming Inter-Area Meet scheduled for next month, where they will once again showcase their artistry and pride in Filipino culture.

Beyond the competition, the event highlighted unity, creativity, and appreciation for the nation’s cultural heritage—proving that with passion, teamwork, and faith, every performance can tell the story of Filipino pride.

The stage came alive as participating schools showcased their passion, rhythm, and creativity through dynamic choreography and synchronized performances. Amidst the fierce competition, NDKI stood out with their powerful stage presence, flawless formations, and innovative routines that earned thunderous applause from the crowd and high scores from the judges.

The event not only celebrated talent and artistry but also strengthened camaraderie among participating schools under COPRISA Area 2. With their victory, the NDKI Hip-Hop Dance Team continues to uphold the school’s tradition of excellence and school spirit—proving that discipline, teamwork, and passion are the perfect beat for success.

The Notre Dame of Kabacan, Inc. (NDKI) proudly claimed the championship title in the Bayle sa Kalye competition during the LitMusac Area Meet, held at the NDKI Pavilion on October 15, 2025.

NDKI’s dynamic performers delivered a captivating presentation inspired by “Sayaw ng Kabacan”, showcasing the town’s rich cultural heritage through expressive storytelling, synchronized choreography, and heartfelt energy. Their performance reflected themes of harvest, heroism, and unity, drawing admiration from both the audience and the panel of judges.

Facing formidable opponents from Kabacan Wesleyan Academy, Matalam Polytechnic College, Inc., and St. Luke’s Institute, the NDKI troupe stood out for their creativity, precision, and artistic depth—earning them the top spot in this year’s competition.

Following their well-deserved victory, the NDKI performers expressed gratitude to their teachers, classmates, supporters, and dedicated coaches who guided and encouraged them throughout their preparation.

“This success wouldn’t have been possible without everyone’s support and guidance,” shared one of the student performers.

With this remarkable achievement, NDKI once again proved its commitment to excellence, not only in academics and sports, but also in promoting culture, artistry, and Filipino pride.

The Notre Dame of Kabacan, Inc. (NDKI) basketball team showcased determination and teamwork in the COPRISA 2025 Basketball Tournament held at the Kabacan Municipal Gym on October 14, 2025, as they faced off against The Notre Dame of Matalam, Inc.

NDKI fought hard in the early quarters, keeping the game close. However, ND Matalam gained momentum in the second half and maintained control until the final buzzer, securing a 57–38 victory to advance to the championship round. ND Matalam will face Matalam Polytechnic College, Inc. (MPCI) in the finals after their win over The Notre Dame of M'lang.

Despite falling short, the NDKI players expressed pride in their effort and growth throughout the tournament. “We may have lost, but we learned many lessons on our journey in COPRISA 2025," showing perseverance and true sportsmanship.

𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 — Bright minds clashed in a battle of wits and knowledge as Day 3 of the COPRISA Academic Quiz Bowl kicked off at 8:00 AM at St. Luke’s Institution, Inc. (SLI). The event gathered top students from various schools in the area 2, and our very own The Notre Dame of Kabacan, Inc. (NDKI) proudly rose to the challenge.

For the Junior High School (JHS) category, NDKI earned several strong finishes. Kristine Grace C. Lumoya placed 2nd in Mathematics, Jan Crystal R. Flores placed 4th in English, Zedrick R. Pimentel took 2nd in Science, and Alleiyyah Nhuff M. Bulalat finished 3rd in Filipino. These results showed the learners’ steady preparation and understanding of their subjects.

In the Senior High School (SHS) category, NDKI also performed well. Rohaine A. Usman placed 7th in Oral Communication, Damian Ian James M. Ancheta took 1st in General Mathematics, Micah Athea Toledo placed 2nd in Earth and Life Science, and Rick Lawrence Lozada earned 1st in Komunikasyon at Pananaliksik. Each student represented NDKI with discipline and commitment throughout the contest.

The event was filled with focus and learning. The COPRISA Quiz Bowl provided students with a chance to apply what they have learned and represent their schools with pride. NDKI’s achievements once again showed the value of effort, preparation, and cooperation.
