One fine afternoon at the Kabankalan City Public Plaza, Mayor Benjie M. Miranda enjoys a simple moment with the community, sharing sorbetes with the children and enjoying the familiar taste of this beloved Filipino street treat served by our manong sorbetero.

For Mayor Benjie, moments like these remind us that public service is not always about formal occasions or big events. Sometimes, it is simply being present, sharing a smile, and spending time with the people he serves.

Aim Higher Kabankalan!

Ang LGU Kabankalan, paagi sa Executive Endrosement ni Mayor Benjie Miranda kag sa Resolution nga ginpasar sang Sangguniang Panlungsod sa pagpanguna ni Vice Mayor Divina Superal Miranda, nag-endorso sang trese (13) tanan ka mga infrastructure projects sang DPWH sa syudad sang Kabankalan nga ginaduso nga malakip sa 2027 National Budget. Kabay nga paagi sini nga mga tikang, matigayon gid ang ini nga mga proyekto:

2. Construction of Multi-Purpose Building, Bantayan Elementary School, Brgy. Bantayan

We extend our appreciation to the personnel of the General Services Office (GSO) for undertaking the initial clearing and clean-up operations at the Kabankalan City Football Field.

The area served as the Festival Park during the Kabuganaan Festival 2026 and hosted several of the festival’s major events, accommodating large crowds throughout the celebration.

With the conclusion of the festivities, clearing and clean-up activities have commenced to help restore order and cleanliness in the area after its intensive use during the festival.

Our appreciation goes to the hardworking men of the GSO for their dedication, efficiency, and service to the City and the people of Kabankalan.

AFTER THE FESTIVAL, THE WORK CONTINUES.

Following the week-long Kabuganaan Festival 2026, the City Government has begun the thorough cleaning of the paver blocks at the Kabankalan Public Plaza.

The work is being undertaken by the City Engineer’s Office, with the support of the General Services Office, upon the instructions of City Mayor Benjie Miranda and with the support of City Vice Mayor Divina Superal Miranda.

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office also extended assistance by providing water tanks for the cleanup operations.

Cleanup activities will continue in the days and weeks ahead. Beyond cleaning, plans for the repair and improvement of the Public Plaza and the football field have already been lined up and are underway.

Celebrations may leave their mark, but good governance means making sure our public spaces are cared for long after the festivities have ended.
