City Government of Kabankalan, headed by City Mayor Benjie Miranda and Vice Mayor Divina Gracia Miranda, proudly congratulates the city’s young swimmers for their outstanding performance during the MILO National Interschool Short Course Swimming Championship, Western Visayas held on September 27–28, 2025, and the Buglasan Swim Fest 2025 on October 4–5, 2025.

In attendance during flag ceremony was SPM Helen Ibanez, who acknowledged the achievements of the athletes and extended the City Government’s full support for their continued excellence in sports.

Runners gathered for the 5K Consumer Fun Run in celebration of Consumer Welfare Month, promoting consumer awareness, wellness, and community spirit. The event, held on October 12, 2025, at the Kabankalan City Cultural and Sports Center, was spearheaded by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in partnership with the City Government of Kabankalan, headed by Mayor Benjie M. Miranda and Vice Mayor Divina Gracia S. Miranda, together with various stakeholders.

This year’s theme, β€œBida ang Konsyumer sa Bagong Pilipinas,” underscores the importance of empowering consumers through awareness, health, and community engagement.

Kabankalan City Government launched a major strategic planning initiative, convening a diverse, multi-sectoral group of leaders and stakeholders for a comprehensive Visioning Workshop today, October 10, 2025.

The intensive, all-day gathering focused on crafting a bold, new collective vision and defining actionable strategies essential for realizing a "Bigger and Brighter Kabankalan."

Mayor Benjie Miranda said," this Visioning Workshop is more than just an exercise in development planning; it is about collective dreaming and aligning our diverse talents toward a single, shared goal anchored in my administration's core principle of β€˜Gugma kag may Kabalaka’."

This workshop is a continuing output and a key implementation stage of the city's Executive and Legislative Agenda (ELA).

Further, Susana Casalem, EnP, Chief of the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), emphasized the critical importance of a unified strategic direction in tackling future challenges and maximizing local opportunities.
