KABANKALAN CITY BARS TOP REGIONAL ENVIRONMENT AWARD FOR WASTE MANAGEMENT INNOVATION

The City Government of Kabankalan, led by Mayor Benjie Miranda, bagged regional honors from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) Negros Island Region for its exemplary environmental governance.

The city received a Certificate of Recognition for its "Outstanding LGU Innovation in Solid Waste Management and Plastic Waste Recovery and Waste diversion initiatives" during the Solid Waste Management Summit 2026 and EPR Orientation held at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City.

This achievement was made possible through the key initiatives and dedicated work of the Kabankalan Environment & Natural Resources Office (KENRO), led by Engr. Glicerio Cabatac, Senior Environment Management Specialist and Acting City Environment & Natural Resource Officer, alongside Engr. Randy Siason, En.P, Engineer III.

Kabankalan City Wins 2nd Place in NOCPPO Kiosk Competition

The City Government of Kabankalan led by Mayor Benjie Miranda earned 2nd Place in the Kiosk Competition – City Category organized by the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) as part of its 52nd Founding Anniversary celebration.

The recognition was presented under the theme “52 Years of Honor and Service: NOCPPO Strong, Trusted, and True,” highlighting the creativity, teamwork, and commitment demonstrated by participating local government units.

The award recognizes Kabankalan City’s efforts in showcasing its local identity, creativity, and strong partnership with the police organization during the anniversary celebration.

The Certificate of Recognition was awarded on August 28, 2026, at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr., Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City.

The achievement adds to Kabankalan City’s growing list of recognitions and reflects the city’s continued commitment to excellence, unity, and meaningful public service.

Isa ka matahum nga hapon sa Kabankalan City Public Plaza, nag-enjoy si Mayor Benjie Miranda sang simple nga tion upod sa aton mga kabataan, samtang nagakaon sang sorbetes nga ginabaligya sang aton manong sorbetero.

Para kay Mayor Benjie, ang amo sini nga mga tion nagapahanumdom nga ang pagserbisyo sa publiko indi permi kinahanglan sang dagko nga okasyon ukon programa. Kis-a, sapat na ang mag-upod, mag-yuhum, kag maghatag tion sa mga pumuluyo.

Kay sa pagserbisyo, ang simple nga pagpakig-upod sa komunidad may daku nga kahulugan.

Kabankalan City Joins 52nd NOCPPO Founding Anniversary

The City Government of Kabankalan, led by Mayor Benjie M. Miranda, Vice Mayor Divinagracia Superal Miranda, and the Sangguniang Panlungsod, joins the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) in celebrating its 52nd Founding Anniversary, being held from August 25 to 28, 2026.

As part of the celebration, Kabankalan City is showcasing a selection of its local delicacies and food products, featuring the creativity, culinary heritage, and hard work of local producers and entrepreneurs.

The city’s participation highlights its continuing partnership with the Philippine National Police and provides an opportunity to promote locally made products while supporting Kabankalan’s entrepreneurs and micro, small, and medium enterprises.

The City Government of Kabankalan expresses its appreciation to the NOCPPO and the Kabankalan Component City Police Station for including the city in this meaningful celebration.

Ang LGU Kabankalan, paagi sa Executive Endrosement ni Mayor Benjie Miranda kag sa Resolution nga ginpasar sang Sangguniang Panlungsod sa pagpanguna ni Vice Mayor Divina Superal Miranda, nag-endorso sang trese (13) tanan ka mga infrastructure projects sang DPWH sa syudad sang Kabankalan nga ginaduso nga malakip sa 2027 National Budget.
