BREAKING NEWS UPDATE FOR SEAFARERS
A new cruise company called World Cruises, founded by Asian internet entrepreneur Joseph Phua, has officially launched operations in Singapore. Their ship, the World Legacy (formerly Moby Zaza), is scheduled to begin cruising on December 18.
⚠️ What we still don’t know / What to treat with caution
The new ship is being presented as a “day-cruise / short cruise / floating resort” rather than a traditional global cruise-line offering multiple large-ship itineraries.
As of the latest coverage, the ship is still being “refurbished / converted” — certain amenities (e.g. large outdoor sun-deck) might not be available until 2026.
This development has caught the attention of many Filipino seafarers who are actively seeking new opportunities—especially those recently affected by job losses.
Pero eto ang mahalagang malinaw:
👉 After checking multiple credible sources, there is NO confirmed Philippine manning agency currently authorized to recruit for World Cruises or the World Legacy.
This means that any job offer you see online claiming to hire Filipinos for “World Legacy,” “World Cruises,” or “Singapore Cruise Hiring” is NOT verified and should be treated with caution.
Mag ingat muna pero syempre lets be hopeful na magbukas eto para sa mga Pinoy para sa bagong opportunidad.
