𝗟𝗗𝗦𝗔 𝗝𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗨𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬!

Last October 9, 2024, student journalists of Liceo De San Antonio participated in the 𝗦𝗣𝗗𝗖𝗦𝗦 𝗪𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 at Liceo de San Pablo, San Pablo City, Laguna with the theme: "Galing, Talino, at Husay ng mga batang makabansa sa diwa ng MATATAG na adhika".

Indeed, another history unlocked. First ever Radio Scriptwriting & Broadcasting Team and Collaborative Desktop Publishing Team was formed and able to represent the school. This will not be successful without the supervision and assistance of our school Principal, Mrs. Juvy Vibares Altamirano, help and guidance of our dedicated and ever supportive School Paper Adviser, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗕. 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗼 and also our very talented and amazing mentor, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿. The fruit of your hardwork and dedication has truly paid off.

Last, October 10, 2024 student journalists of Liceo De San Antonio participated in the 𝗦𝗣𝗗𝗖𝗦𝗦 𝗪𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 at Liceo de San Pablo, San Pablo City, Laguna with the theme: "Galing, Talino, at Husay ng mga batang makabansa sa diwa ng MATATAG na adhika"

A win is a win. The Psalter/ Ang Salterio raised the Liceo de San Antonio's flag once more. This achievements will not be successful without the supervision and assistance of our school principal, Mrs. Juvy Vibares Altamirano, the guidance of our dedicated and ever supportive School Paper Adviser, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗕. 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗼 and also our very talented and amazing mentor, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿. On August 4, the Church celebrates the feast day of St. John Vianney, patron of priests.

"The priest is not a priest for himself; After God, the priest is everything."
- St. John Marie Vianney

Before becoming a saint, Vianney served as a Priest and slowly helped to revive the community’s faith through both his prayers and the witness of his lifestyle.

In 2009, Pope Benedict XVI, commemorating the 150th anniversary of St. John Vianney’s death, declared the Year for Priests. The Pope wrote a Letter to Clergy, encouraging all priests to look to the Curé of Ars as an example of dedication to one’s priestly calling.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 "𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗘𝗥"

The story behind the Publication name
"The Psalter" is connected on St. Anthony of Padua, the Patron Saint of Baranggay San Antonio where Liceo de San Antonio is located.

--- The Story ---

The traditional practice of praying for St. Anthony's help in finding lost or stolen things is traced to an incident during his lifetime that occurred in Bologna. According to the story, Anthony had a book of psalms that was important to him, as it contained his notes and comments for use in teaching his students. A novice who had chosen to leave had taken the psalter with him. Prior to the invention of the printing press, any book was hand-copied, and thus, an item of high value; a Franciscan friar in particular, given his vow of poverty, would have found such an item difficult to replace. When Anthony realized his psalter was missing, he prayed it would be found or returned, after which the thief was moved to not only return the book to Anthony, but also return to the order. The stolen book is said to be preserved in the Franciscan friary in Bologna.
