𝗟𝗗𝗦𝗔 𝗝𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗨𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬!

Last October 9, 2024, student journalists of Liceo De San Antonio participated in the 𝗦𝗣𝗗𝗖𝗦𝗦 𝗪𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 at Liceo de San Pablo, San Pablo City, Laguna with the theme: "Galing, Talino, at Husay ng mga batang makabansa sa diwa ng MATATAG na adhika".

Indeed, another history unlocked. First ever Radio Scriptwriting & Broadcasting Team and Collaborative Desktop Publishing Team was formed and able to represent the school. This will not be successful without the supervision and assistance of our school Principal, Mrs. Juvy Vibares Altamirano, help and guidance of our dedicated and ever supportive School Paper Adviser, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗕. 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗼 and also our very talented and amazing mentor, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿. The fruit of your hardwork and dedication has truly paid off.

Last, October 10, 2024 student journalists of Liceo De San Antonio participated in the 𝗦𝗣𝗗𝗖𝗦𝗦 𝗪𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 at Liceo de San Pablo, San Pablo City, Laguna with the theme: "Galing, Talino, at Husay ng mga batang makabansa sa diwa ng MATATAG na adhika"

A win is a win. The Psalter/ Ang Salterio raised the Liceo de San Antonio's flag once more. This achievements will not be successful without the supervision and assistance of our school principal, Mrs. Juvy Vibares Altamirano, the guidance of our dedicated and ever supportive School Paper Adviser, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗕. 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗼 and also our very talented and amazing mentor, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿. On August 4, the Church celebrates the feast day of St. John Vianney, patron of priests.

"The priest is not a priest for himself; After God, the priest is everything."
- St. John Marie Vianney

Before becoming a saint, Vianney served as a Priest and slowly helped to revive the community’s faith through both his prayers and the witness of his lifestyle.

In 2009, Pope Benedict XVI, commemorating the 150th anniversary of St. John Vianney’s death, declared the Year for Priests. The Pope wrote a Letter to Clergy, encouraging all priests to look to the Curé of Ars as an example of dedication to one’s priestly calling.

Behind the Name: "The Psalter"
The name "The Psalter" is deeply rooted in the life of St. Anthony of Padua, the patron saint of Barangay San Antonio, where Liceo de San Antonio proudly stands.

📖 The Story:
In Bologna, during St. Anthony’s lifetime, a novice stole his book of psalms—his personal psalter filled with valuable notes used for teaching. Books were rare and precious at the time, especially for Franciscan friars bound by poverty. St. Anthony prayed fervently for its return. Moved by grace, the novice not only brought the book back but also returned to the religious order. The very psalter that was once lost is now preserved in a Franciscan friary in Bologna.

This story of loss, prayer, and redemption inspires the heart of our publication — to be a guiding voice of truth, enlightenment, and purpose.
