The District Athletic Meet officially opened today with a parade held at San Antonio Elementary School. The event marked the start of a day filled with sportsmanship, camaraderie, and healthy competition among participating schools.

Representing the community with pride, Barangay Longos Senior High School joined the parade, showcasing unity and enthusiasm as athletes and delegates marched with their banners.

The opening program included the presentation of delegations, an intermission number, the lighting of the torch, and the raising of the school flag. Highlights also featured the presentation of muses and es**rts, and athletic oath. The program concluded with the formal opening of the meet, the selection of muse and es**rt, and the awarding of certificates.

As a continuation of the Buwan ng Wika 2025 celebration, BLSHS proudly held the Ginoo at Binibining Wika 2025 pageant last August 28, 2025.

The event was a vibrant celebration of confidence, culture, and the power of language. It also became a platform where the candidates showcased their knowledge, eloquence, and deep appreciation for the Filipino language. Through their powerful words and heartfelt messages, they showed how language helps shape who we are, keep our heritage alive, and bring people together as a nation.

Each contestant was assigned a specific Filipino region, city, or province, which they represented throughout the program. Through their speeches, they brought these places to life by using the language, expressions, and words unique to the regions, highlighting their traditions, values, history, and significance to the nation.

The pageant was more than a competitionโ€”it was a celebration of culture, unity, and the power of language to connect us to places, people, and heritage. By the end of the event, one male and one female student were crowned as the new Ginoo at Binibini ng Wika 2025,
carrying the honor of representing not only their fellow students but also the cultural pride that unites all Filipinos.
