I was struck by LJ Reyes’ quiet wisdom when she said, “Sabi nila kung mahal mo ang isang tao kakapit ka kahit masakit. Pero kung mas mahal mo ang sarili mo, bibitaw ka kahit masakit.”
Love isn’t about how tightly you hold on, but how bravely you let go. It takes strength to stay, but it takes even greater courage to walk away when staying means losing yourself.
LJ’s words remind us that healing begins the moment you realize your worth does not depend on someone else’s presence.
That real love, the kind that lasts, doesn’t ask you to bleed to prove it’s real.
Sometimes, the most painful goodbye is also the first step toward becoming whole again.
And when you finally choose yourself, you’ll see, that was love, too.
