Happy Birthday to an educator who does so much more than just teach. To a student lost in a sea of numbers, you are like a craftsman who takes a messy pile of raw data, which often looks useless, but you see the beauty in it. Today, we celebrate you not only as an educator but also as the person who makes the heavy lifting of learning feel like a shared adventure. You continue to teach and inspire students to continue throughout life's toughest parts.

May your year be full of joy as you continue to do the things you love the most. Thank you for the patience and sincerity you have put into your craft. Your presence here is a gift we don't take for granted. Again, happy birthday, Sir Jhers! ๐Ÿ’™

Forty years ago, the world held its breath as a nation, united by courage, prayers, and yellow ribbons, dared to dream of freedom. Today, the spirit of that moment lives on in the halls of Saint Gabriel College as we celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.โœŠ๐Ÿป

With truth and service, we carry on the legacy of 1986.

Embracing the Ruby Jubilee, our students rise with the same courage that filled the streets forty years ago. By weaving the wisdom of history into our pursuit of excellence and service, we keep the Flame of Freedom burning bright.๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ

As we wear our uniforms with pride today, we carry the hopes of 1986 into the future of 2026. Let us continue as a community that values peace, protects truth, and serves with love.๐Ÿ’–

TVP Journalists Advance to RSPC, Showcase Grit at Regional Stage

Iloilo City-- From February 13 to 15, the spotlight turned to young campus journalists across Western Visayas as they gathered at Punta Villa Resort in Iloilo City for the highly anticipated Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) individual contests. Among the qualifiers was The Vision Journalists; Edilberto F. Mollo III, Austin Santi Salomon and Carl Leanne Cunanan, proudly representing their school and the province of Aklan at the regional level.

Qualifying for the RSPC itself was already a milestone for The Vision Journalists. Earning their spot best signified months of preparation, training, and dedication. Competing against seasoned campus journalists from across Western Visayas, the team embraced the challenge with determination and professionalism.

Although the group did not secure a placement in this yearโ€™s competition, their participation marked a significant achievement. Advancing to the regional level is no small feat, especially in a field filled with talented and highly competitive contenders. For the student journalists, the experience offered valuable lessons, exposure, and inspiration to strive for greater heights in future competitions.

Behind their journey were their dedicated school paper advisers: Kylie Kate S. Aranas, Frances Shelley M. Sistorias, and John Rex Raquin. Through guidance, mentorship, and unwavering support, they helped prepare the team for the rigorous demands of regional competition. The TVP delegation is also deeply grateful to the College President, Randall Anselmo S. Legaspi and School Principal, Dr. Lyle C. Ibabao for their genuine support.

As they return home, they carry not just memories of competition, but renewed motivation to write, report, and lead with integrity โ€” ready to rise again in the next press conference season.

The Child Protection Policy Orientation was conducted on February 10, 2026, at the SGC Gymnasium, aiming to deepen the school communityโ€™s understanding of child protection and student welfare. The activity was held under the supervision of Dr. Lyle C. Ibabao, High School Principal, who also delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the schoolโ€™s strong commitment to ensuring a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning environment for all learners.

Mr. Isaiah Julien T. Villanueva, Guidance Counselor of SGC, led the discussion and explained the Child Protection Policy, focusing on bullyingโ€”its forms, impact on students, and the importance of early reporting, proper intervention, and collective responsibility in preventing abuse and discrimination.

The program concluded with the closing remarks of Mrs. Neriza M. Laxina, Elementary Principal, who highlighted the acronym PPRA โ€” Protection, Prevention, Response, and Accountability. Her message reinforced the vital role of educators, parents, and students in safeguarding childrenโ€™s rights and ensuring that every concern is addressed with care, fairness, and accountability within the school community.

In the lively corridors of Saint Gabriel College High School, where hundreds of students create a whirlwind of noise and activity, there is a steady, calming presence at the heart of it all. He doesnโ€™t lead with a loud voice or a strict hand. Instead, our Principal leads with a smile that reaches his eyes and a kindness that echoes through the halls.

We learn that leadership is about service, and our Principal exemplifies this. By being friendly and approachable, he has built a bridge between the administration and students. Heโ€™s not just a figure behind a desk; he is a mentor, supporter, and friend to the Gabrielian community. In a world that often honors loud voices, our Principal shows us that strength can be found in gentle words and a generous spirit. We aren't just a school under his care; we are a family.

This Sunday, February 1, marks a special day, not only because a new month begins but also to celebrate the birth of the man who brings sunshine to Saint Gabriel College.

His leadership style reflects generosity and grace. For those walking in the halls of the institution, his office door isn't just a physical entry, itโ€™s an open invitation for support. He doesn't need a crown to be a leader; he wears kindness like a favorite sweater, making everyone feel comfortable and valued. Whether laughing with students or quietly ensuring that the school gets what it needs, his lively spirit spreads joy throughout our community.

As he marks another year, the Gabrielian community wishes that he receives back even a small share of the happiness he gives us daily.

On behalf of The Vision Staffers, we wish you a birthday full of happiness, love, and blessings in life. May your day be as bright, joyful, and beautiful as the spirit you share. Happy Birthday, Sir Lyle!๐Ÿ’–

Dominating for the second consecutive year, Saint Gabriel College - Senior High School (SGC-SHS) was once again hailed as the champion of the Regional Quipper Quiz Bee on January 29, 2026, held via Zoom.

Charice D. Noble and Sheryn Christie R. Eliserio triumphed over 25 other schools across Western Visayas.

Competing for the second time in this category, Eliserio shared that she felt overwhelmed and pressured to represent the school again.

โ€œNow, we will be competing for the nationals. We overcame the pressure despite the short review time. We're very thankful to Quipper for this opportunity,โ€ she stated.

Noble shared similar sentiments but found the courage to overcome her nerves.

Meanwhile, Althea Faith Antoni, Raynhael Mae Hernandez, Jun Andrei Aguirre, and Audrey Blaisse Fajardo of Saint Gabriel College - Junior High School (SGC-JHS) secured 4th place.

Kylie Kate Aranas and John Rex Raquin served as coaches under the supervision of Dr. Lyle C. Ibabao, High School Principal.

Organized by Quipper Philippines, Inc., the event aims to foster academic excellence, encourage inter-school collaboration, and highlight the importance of knowledge across diverse disciplines. #
