🍃🌿 ERRATUM AND UPDATE: Outstanding Festival Finalists - Visayas - KALIBO SEÑOR STO. NIÑO ATI-ATIHAN FESTIVAL 🌿🍃
To our esteemed followers and the vibrant community of Aklanons,
We at the Philippine LEAF Awards are committed to celebrating and respecting the rich cultural tapestry of the Philippines. It has come to our attention that our previous post regarding the Outstanding Festival Finalists for Visayas inadvertently used incorrect imagery and naming for the Ati-atihan Festival of Kalibo, Aklan.
In adherence to Ordinance No. 2023-0030 of the local government of Kalibo, and out of deep respect for the local culture, the government of Kalibo, and its people, we are reissuing our announcement with the official photo and name as chosen by the local authorities.
We sincerely apologize for any confusion or misrepresentation caused by our earlier post. Our aim is always to accurately showcase the beauty and diversity of Filipino festivals. We understand the importance of getting these details right and are grateful to the local government of Kalibo for guiding us in this correction.
Attached is the updated art card for the Outstanding Festival Finalist in Visayas, featuring the "Kalibo Señor Santo Niño Ati-Atihan Festival," a jewel in the crown of Philippine cultural heritage. We celebrate its vibrant history and the enduring spirit of the Aklanon people.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Let us continue to honor and uplift the wonderful traditions and festivals of our country.
Mabuhay ang Kalibo Señor Santo Niño Ati-atihan Festival!
Mabuhay ang kultura ng Pilipinas!
