FLAG RAISING CEREMONY WITH “KULAS” OF BECOMING FILIPINO

As part of the Civil Service Commission’s mandate for all government offices to hold a flag raising ceremony every Monday, the Municipal Government of Kalibo gathered earlier this morning at the Magsaysay Parking Area to uphold this tradition of unity, patriotism, and public service.

Joining the ceremony was Mr. Kyle Douglas Jennerman, better known as “Kulas” of Becoming Filipino — a travel and culture vlogger known for showcasing the beauty, warmth, and inspiring stories of the Filipino people and their communities across the country.

In recognition of his participation and support for the upcoming Opening Salvo of the Kalibo Señor Sto. Niño Ati-Atihan Festival 2026 on October 8, 2025, Mayor Juris B. Sucro presented him with a Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of the people of Kalibo.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

As of 2:00 pm today, the Office of the Municipal Mayor of Kalibo has received official written reports from the following private schools indicating that upon thorough inspection of their school buildings and school facilities, they were found to be structurally safe for occupancy and use. Hence, classes and school activities in these schools will resume tomorrow, October 2, 2025:

1. Aklan Learning Center
2. Aklan Valley High School
3. Holy Child Nursery and Kindergaten School
4. St. Gabriel English School of Kalibo
5. St. Dominic School of Kalibo Inc.

Meanwhile, the conduct of inspection in public schools is still on-going. Next update will be issued at 5:00 pm today. Thank you.

Work suspension in LGU Kalibo - October 1, 2025

Kanselado ang pasok sa LGU Kalibo Bukas October 1 bunsod ng naranasang lindol nitong gabi September 30.

Mananatili namang may pasok ang mga tanggapan ng MDRRMO at iba pang opisina na may kaugnayan sa emergency services at disaster response.

Layunin ng hakbang na ito ni Mayor Juris Sucro na masuring mabuti ang mga opisina ng LGU Kalibo dahil sa pagtama ng lindol para sa kaligtasan ng lahat.
