The CIIT NSTP is our customized learning design, delivery, and implementation of RA 9163 otherwise known as the National Service Training Program Act of 2001. Also, it is a major component of the Form to Transform of the Community Development Office via the HABI Program that primarily aims for civic formation.

Basic Digital Literacy Skills Training Underway! 📲

March 2025. In collaboration with the Quezon City Public Library (QCPL), the young learners of QCPL's Cubao branch were joined by CIIT NSTP 2 Students as they explored the digital space— learning the essentials in practicing basic digital literacy skills!

With the classes conducted during Saturdays from 9 AM-11 AM & 1 PM-3 PM, CIIT NSTP students held community-based literacy sessions to help bridge the digital divide among the youth.

The learners were taught basic computer operations, etiquette in the digital world, and typing and navigation skills— abilities that will be useful in navigating the digital space!

Design to Win and Inspire Change! 🌊

In partnership with DENR-NCR PRCMO, CIIT College of Arts and Technology invites all students to join the brochure map-making contest entitled: "Discovering the Beauty of Pasig River System: May Ganito Pala sa Ilog Pasig!"

Design a 6-fold brochure map showcasing the Pasig River’s rich history, culture, and ecology! Winning entries of the competition will be featured in public exhibitions and digital platforms to help inform and inspire broader audiences about the beauty and value of the Pasig River!

Tracking Waste, Transforming Tomorrow! ♻️

March-April 2025 — From Week 7 to 12, CIIT NSTP students participated in the Waste Trace Project, a track-based initiative focused on observational research!

The students visited local groceries, sari-sari stores, barangay halls, and nearby streets to study the use of single-use plastics, waste management, and the effects of plastic pollution on our communities.

Through observations and community interactions, the students gained a better understanding of the environmental issues faced by the country! By Week 13, they presented practical prototypes and solutions aimed at reducing plastic waste and promoting sustainability!

March 29, 2025 — In collaboration with the Quezon City Public Library (QCPL), parents and guardians from various barangays in Quezon City attended the seminar entitled: Protecting our Future: Parents and Guardians as Advocates Against VAWC!

Held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Left-Wing Library of the Interweave Campus, the session was led by Ms. Sandra Sanchez Montano, who shared valuable insights on the vital role of families in preventing Violence Against Women and Children!

Sustainable Change, One Step at a Time! 🌷

March 28–29, 2025 — In partnership with WorkingMum, CIIT NSTP students held a hands-on workshop at CIIT’s Interweave Campus, focused on crafting reusable cloth sanitary pads! The event promoted sustainable practices while strengthening CIIT NSTP’s commitment to minimizing plastic waste.

Led by WorkingMum's founder, Ms. Beng Guevarra — an advocate for eco-friendly living, the workshop introduced basic sewing techniques for beginners and empowered participants to create their own washable pads!

Through these initiatives, we take one step closer to a world where sustainability becomes the norm!

Kickstarting Basic Digital Literacy Skills Training! đź–Ą

March 2025. In collaboration with the Quezon City Public Library (QCPL), senior citizens at QCPL's main branch in Roxas were joined by CIIT NSTP 2 students to explore the digital space — learning the fundamentals of digital literacy!

Held on Saturdays from 9 AM to 11 AM, the CIIT NSTP students facilitated community-based literacy sessions aimed at bridging the digital divide for the elderly.

The learners were introduced to basic computer and smartphone operations, safe internet usage, how to avoid online scams, and digital communication with family and friends — skills they’ll use to confidently navigate the online world!

Honesty + Math in Action!

March 14, 2025 — Alongside the International Day of Mathematics, CIIT NSTP LTS Students launched an honesty store initiative of drinks and beverages at the Interweave campus— a self-service booth with no cashiers, relying on trust and transparency!

The honesty cup initiative was launched to gather budget and receive donations for creating math kits, containing tools and materials used in basic numeracy learning for the learners of the QCPL Roxas Branch!

The project is designed to promote numeracy appreciation through real-world applications of mental math and budgeting. Students track expenses and manage inventory—all while learning the value of honesty in everyday transactions!

Equipped with Life-Saving Skills! âś…

April 3, 2025 — In collaboration with the Philippine Coast Guard Medical Team, CIIT NSTP 1 students underwent the 'Standard First Aid Training' as part of their Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS)!

The students were given a lecture on basic emergency responses, including wound dressing and bandaging techniques, as well as emergency rescue and patient transfer methods.

This training aims to foster preparedness, promote civic duty, and equip students with practical life-saving skills for times of emergency!

Celebrating Literacy and Learning! đź“š

The Buklat-Aklat: Reading Tutorial Project successfully held its final session and closing program on April 10, 2025, at the Quezon City Public Library (QCPL).

This five-session program, conducted from March 13 to April 10, 2025, was part of the QCPL Basic Literacy Program and implemented by the CIIT NSTP Literacy Training Service students.

The event celebrated the achievements of the young learners who actively participated and expressed gratitude to the facilitators, whose dedication made this initiative a success.

Together, we continue to empower young minds and promote a love for reading. 📚✨
