💼 VA Resume Tips for Direct Client Applications

1. Customize Every Resume

Tailor your resume to the specific client and job description.

Use the same keywords the client used (e.g., “social media management,” “calendar coordination,” “CRM setup”).

Mention tools or platforms they listed (e.g., “Proficient in ClickUp, Canva, and Slack”).

2. Lead with a Strong Profile Summary

Open with 3–4 lines that highlight what you do best and who you help.

Example:

“Tech-savvy Virtual Assistant helping coaches and online entrepreneurs streamline systems, manage client communications, and scale efficiently.”

3. Focus on Results, Not Just Tasks

Replace duties with measurable outcomes.

✅ “Managed 50+ client inquiries weekly with 24-hour turnaround.”
✅ “Increased engagement by 30% through optimized content scheduling.”

4. Highlight Core Skills & Tools

List tools you actually know and use confidently.
(Examples: Canva, Trello, ClickUp, Kajabi, GHL, Slack, Notion, Asana, Google Workspace, Meta Business Suite)

Include soft skills: communication, time management, attention to detail.

5. Keep It Short and Scannable

One page is ideal; two only if you have strong, relevant experience.

Use clear sections, bullet points, and consistent formatting.

6. Add a “Client Testimonials” or “Feedback” Section

Include 1–2 short client quotes from past work (if available).

“She’s reliable, proactive, and keeps projects moving a true asset to my business!”

7. Show Industry Familiarity

If you specialize (e.g., beauty, coaching, e-commerce), mention it!

Clients love VAs who understand their niche.

8. Use an Action-Oriented Tone

Start bullet points with strong verbs: Created, Managed, Coordinated, Designed, Organized, Implemented.

9. Add a “Portfolio or Work Samples” Link

Include a clickable link to your portfolio, Google Drive folder, or personal website.
(Even better if it shows screenshots, social media posts, or dashboards of your work.)

10. Include a Professional Photo (Optional but Trust-Building)

Use a clean, friendly headshot especially for client-facing roles.
Avoid selfies or over-filtered photos.

11. Name Your Resume Professionally

Example:
✅ JeanBangalan_VirtualAssistant_Resume.pdf
❌ VAfinalfinalversion(2).docx

12. End with a Call to Action

Add a short closing line:

“Available for immediate start happy to discuss how I can support your business goals.”

From the start I know na you will be a great fit for our client ✨❤️Manifesting more clients for us para maka-help pa tay...

General Virtual Assistant or GVA at kilala rin bilang Jack of All Trades Master Of None 👀

I am proud to say I am a General VA, walang basagan ng trip 🤣

As an organize person at medyo OC sa work ethic eh nag eenjoy ako sa ganito yung iba ibang tasks tapos ang dami kong notes, pens at illustration board ❤️❤️❤️

👉 Manage FB Page
👉 Landing Pages - Kajabi
👉 Website & Funnel Design - GHL
👉 Managed GHL as Admin
👉 Graphic Design Canva
👉 Podcast & Youtube
👉 Admin Staff (too many to mention)
👉 Payroll
at marami pa....

Sabi nga ni Lolo Zig " You don't need to be great to start, but you have to start to be great."

Happy Freelancing 💜

🔥 How to be a VA/Freelancer? 🔥

Let me know kung may kulang pa? 😅

Disclaimer. This is based on my experience, observation and learning along the way. 🫶🏻

- Know your niche/skills or service na i-ooffer mo. Saan kba may experience? Saan kba may alam? Ano bang hilig mo? San kba interesado? If wala tlga, try mo pag-aralan about General VA
- *example sakin "Admin-VA"

- Pag may skills kna.

Pwedeng yung madali sayo, mahirap sakin vice versa. For me, walang madali. Lahat mahirap. Just choose your hard.

🔥 Another VA Tips CTTO 🔥

1. Write the reasons why you want to be part of the VA industry keep in a safe place and go back to it when tough gets tougher.

2. Find a niche you are familiar with. For example, galing kang BPO and customer service ang work mo, find a job on that industry then once earning ka na, you can upskill on the niche you are interested in.

3. Create an OPTIMIZED profile on platforms like Linkedin, Upwork, OLJ. Read the job posts posted in there to get familiar on the tools and skills na hinahanap for the niche na napili mo. Operative word being, OPTIMIZED.

4. Test, test and test. Test the Profile if pansinin if not edit it into something na tingin mo mas magging pansinin. Test and try to submit proposals making sure that each cover letter and CV you send is tailor fit on the job post na pinagpapasahan mo.

5. Join social media communities about freelancing but be mindful of what and who you follow. Make sure na they are there to help you and not just to earn from the said "COACHING & MENTORSHIP".

6. Watch Youtube clips for the niche you have chosen and watch tutorials on the basics of the tools needed for the said niche.

7. Rejection is redirection. In this industry where you can submit as many as you can na application, you can also receive as much rejection. take it with a grain of salt and learn from it.

PS. Do it scared, and wag maiintimidate kung puti or ibang lahi ang kausap mo. As sad as it sound pero kapwa Pinoy lang natin ang mahilig mangkorek ng grammar.

I am rooting for you. Good luck 🦋
