Six months ago, I made one of the hardest decisions in my VA journeyโI resigned from a premium client after my rate was lowered. I knew the value I was bringing to the table, and I couldn't ignore that.
After leaving, I found a part-time client, but the income wasn't enough to cover the bills. There were moments when I felt lost, discouraged, and unsure of my next steps. My confidence was shaken, and financially, it was one of the toughest seasons I've ever faced.
But I kept going.
Three months later, I finally closed a deal with my second clientโa part-time role, 4 hours a day, earning $800 per month. It may not seem huge to some, but for me, it was an answered prayer and a reminder that persistence pays off.
Fast forward to today, I'm almost reaching 6 digits a month with my two clients. It may not be a huge number to some, but it's more than enough to help me get back on track, regain my confidence, and remind myself that every difficult season eventually passes.
To every Virtual Assistant who is still figuring things out: don't give up on yourself. The slow season is not the end of your story. Rejections, setbacks, and challenges are often preparing you for opportunities you can't see yet.
Keep learning. Keep showing up. Keep believing in your skills and your worth.
Your breakthrough may be closer than you think. The clients meant for you will find you, and the effort you're putting in today will eventually pay off.
Never stop believing in yourself. Stay patient, stay consistent, and trust the process. Your next win could be just around the corner. โจ
