The Lord Jesus Christ was a Substitute

The lamb in the OLD Testament died in the place of the winner. The winner could go free because a substitute was provided. The Lord Jesus Christ was your substitute on the cross. You deserved to die for your sins, but He died in your place.
However, none of these benefits are yours if you do not believe that He did them for you. They are "unto all and upon all them that believe. "
