The dance floor became a battlefield of grace and athleticism as the City of Koronadal Athletic Association (CKAA) Meet 2026 officially concluded its Dancesport events. Student-athletes from across the city showcased world-class footwork and precision in both the Latin and Standard disciplines. Among those who delivered standout performances and secured their spots in the roster of winners were: Cooper John Duero, Claive Shaye Somera, Hadrian Victor Manguit, Rianne Krysfemme Lamonera, Daryl Diaz, Mekayla Cenal, David Angelo Non, Heart Ella Casa, Shaivee Yezel C. Oriel, and Luke Henrich D. Astero.

A Grade 4 student from Koronadal Central Elementary School II, Ayesha Jazz A. Lacanaria, has taken the top spot in the Elementary Girls' Badminton tournament, marking a significant achievement in her athletic journey. Starting her training in Grade 2, she has become known for her powerful smashes on the court while maintaining her status as a consistent honor pupil in the classroom.

Her dedication to both academics and sports has made her a standout student. Coaches and teachers praise her discipline, noting her natural talent and impressive ability to balance intense training with academic excellence. This championship win is just the beginning for Aya, who continues to show that hard work, commitment, and focus lead to success both in sports and academics.

In an impressive display of grace and precision, rhythmic gymnasts from both elementary and secondary levels delivered standout performances in this year’s CKAA Meet. Two athletes emerged as the brightest stars—Alixra Mortejo of Cluster 1, who dominated the elementary division by sweeping all five apparatus events, and Jehomichaella Hezekiah Estrope of Zone 1, who ruled the secondary division with victories in Hoop, Clubs, Ribbon, and the IAA. While Mortejo secured a flawless gold-medal sweep, Estrope prevailed in a thrilling showdown against fellow top contender Kia Lou of Zone 3, ultimately claiming the overall championship.

Cluster 1 powered past Cluster 5 in the boys volleyball semifinals with a commanding performance highlighted by aggressive net play and disciplined defense. Team captain Francis Joven Jayawon of Sto. Niño Elementary School led the charge, keeping the squad composed while igniting key scoring runs.

Cluster 1 sealed the match with a dominant 25–12 win in the second set, overwhelming Cluster 5 with strong serves and consistent attacks. The victory secures Cluster 1 a spot in the finals as they prepare for the championship showdown.

𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙶𝙰𝙼𝙴𝚂 𝙷𝙰𝚅𝙴 𝙾𝙵𝙵𝙸𝙲𝙸𝙰𝙻𝙻𝚈 𝙱𝙴𝙶𝚄𝙽!

The spirit of sportsmanship is in the air as we officially kicked off the City of Koronadal Athletic Association (CKAA) Meet yesterday, February 12, at the KNCHS gymnasium.

From the vibrant performances to the roaring cheers of the different delegations, our student-athletes from across the Koronadal City Division are ready to give it their all for pride, honor, and the gold!

To all our athletes: Play with heart, stay disciplined, and show us what Koronadaleño excellence looks like!
