One of the most familiar landmarks at the heart of Bacolod City is the historic bandstand of Bacolod Public Plaza.

🎶 The iconic octagonal bandstand dates to 1926–1927 and has become one of the enduring symbols of the city. In 2026, the Bacolod City Government is recognizing its Centennial Anniversary (1926–2026).

Look closely at the structure and you can see the names of renowned classical composers, including Beethoven, Wagner, Haydn, and Mozart, inscribed around the bandstand.

For generations, Bacolod Public Plaza has been an important part of the city's social, cultural, political, and spiritual life, with the bandstand serving as its iconic centerpiece.
