๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐| To kick off the new Academic Year, the College of Arts and Humanities (CAH) hosted its annual general assembly at the Benguet State University gymnasium on August 5, 2025.
Students and faculty members from the Bachelor of Arts in Communication (BACOM), Bachelor of Arts in English Language (BAEL), and Bachelor of Arts in Filipino Language (BAFL) gathered for the event. Additionally, the different student organizations of the collegeโBSU-COMSS, SINAG-Fil, ELLSA, CAH-SG, and iTANGGUYOBโintroduced their new members and line of officers.
"Choosing to remain uninformed limits your growth," remarked College Dean Dr. Ronda B. Tullay, as she highlighted three important values: commitment, ability, and humility, during the opening remarks. She emphasized "humility" as the most important value among the three, describing it as every CAH student's quiet strengthโone that boosts them throughout their academic journey.
Meanwhile, Department Chairperson Mr. Peter P. Dalocdoc gave an orientation on the college's admission and retention policies for the newly enrolled and returning students. Then Dr. Kara S. Panolong reiterated the BSU vision, mission, and goals while Dr. Penelope F. Tica-a and Dr. Mildred L. Takinan presented on college research and extension agendas.
โParticipants were also entertained with performances from the talents of each department as well as an enlightening session from Fr. Marlon Urmaza, Schools Superintendent of the Diocese of Baguio.
Furthermore, in its aim to promote a sense of community and belonging within the college, the CAH-SG revealed a lineup of tentative activities designed for students to engage with throughout the school year. CAH-SG Governor Ms. Rhea Jane G. Mabli also announced that the teams for the upcoming college sports fest have already been decided, and that additional details will be disseminated soon.
