In line with the observance of the Philippine Antimicrobial Awareness Week (PAAW) and in support of national and global efforts to combat Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), the Department of Health – Cordillera Administrative Region (DOH-CAR) is inviting you to join a meaningful advocacy event this coming:

This event aims to promote the rational use of antimicrobials and raise awareness on AMR among students and health professionals in the pharmaceutical and veterinary sectors.

📢 CVM-BSU Vets Join the 30th PAHA Annual Conference 🐾

The alumni of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Benguet State University (CVM-BSU) proudly participated in the 30th Philippine Animal Hospital Association (PAHA) Annual Conference held at the prestigious NUSTAR Hotel, Cebu City on September 2–4, 2025.

With the theme “Three Decades of Innovation: Shaping the Future of Companion Animal Practice in the Philippines,” this milestone event marked a celebration of 30 years of advancing veterinary medicine in the country.

Beyond the scientific sessions, the event also served as a wonderful venue for BSU-CVM alumni to renew acquaintances, exchange stories, and promote the upcoming 6th BSU Alumni Homecoming and Awarding Ceremony on November 15, 2025 at Hotel Supreme, Baguio City. 🎉

This gathering was not just a celebration of PAHA’s achievements, but also a testament to the commitment of veterinarians—including BSU-CVM alumni—to continually improve animal health and welfare in the Philippines.

📣 BLESS 2025: Call for Volunteer Lecturers

Good day, everyone!

In support of BLESS 2025 (Binnadang for Licensure Examination Support Services), we are inviting faculty members and alumni to serve as online lecturers for our DVM graduates preparing for the Veterinary Licensure Examination this October 2025.

🗓 Schedule: Every Friday and Saturday, from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM
📍 Platform: Google Classroom and designated video conferencing tools

🔹 Guidelines for Lecturers:
• Prepare 10 to 20 multiple-choice questions related to your topic.
• Post the questions on Google Classroom at least one day before your session.
• Students will answer the questions beforehand, and your lecture will be based on their responses and the concepts covered.

Saranay Para Kay Alumni Program Update

Saranay Para Kay Alumni (SARANAY) is an ongoing initiative of the BSU-CVMAA, Inc. aimed at providing financial assistance to alumni members, primarily for medical-related needs.

To date, five alumni members have benefited from this program, made possible through the generous support of fellow alumni and friends of the association.

Funding for SARANAY comes from donations and income-generating projects (IGPs) such as September to Remember, as well as designated allocations from various alumni activities. Moving forward, every alumni event will continue to set aside a specific amount to sustain and grow this meaningful cause.

If you, or someone you know from our alumni community, is in need of assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to any BSU-CVMAA, Inc. officer. All requests will be handled with compassion and confidentiality.

SARANAY is more than just a program—it is a reflection of our enduring camaraderie and solidarity, extending beyond our years as students and into our lives as professionals and friends.

44 New Members Inducted into BSU-CVMAA, Inc. During Hooding Ceremony

The Benguet State University College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Association, Inc. (BSU-CVMAA, Inc.) proudly inducted 44 new members during the Hooding Ceremony held on June 15, 2025, at the Diamond Hall, Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza, Magsaysay Avenue, Baguio City.

Comprising the BSU CVM Class of 2025, the inductees were formally welcomed into the alumni association in a solemn and meaningful ceremony, marking their transition from veterinary students to professionals committed to the service of animals, people, and society. The induction was one of the highlights of the event, symbolizing the beginning of their journey as veterinary practitioners and BSU alumni.

These graduates officially received their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degrees during the 104th Commencement Exercises of Benguet State University on June 26, 2025.

As stipulated in the BSU-CVMAA, Inc. Constitution and By-Laws, each member is required to pay a one-time membership fee of Php 50.00 and annual dues of Php 200.00 to maintain active status within the organization. These contributions help fund various programs, services, and activities of the association that support alumni engagement and professional development.

BSU-CVMAA, Inc. warmly congratulates its newest members and encourages their active involvement in initiatives that aim to uplift the veterinary profession and strengthen the alumni community.

The association also reminds all members, both new and existing, to settle their annual dues to help sustain the programs and advocacies of BSU-CVMAA, Inc.
