Introduction

Concepcion National High School; is one of the three national high schools in Lantawan, situated in the eastern part of the municipality. By virtue of the Presidential

Decree of 1989, the Concepcion Barangay High School was renamed Concepcion National High School. Located in Matarling Barangay, Concepcion National High School is included in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. It is fifteen kilometers away from Isabela City. Or about thirty minutes drive by jeepney from the town proper. In 2016, Senior High School established. Academic and TVL Track offers which include the General Academic Strand (GAS) and Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM); TVL-Home Economics strand-Dressmaking/Cookery (DM/C); TVL-Industrial Arts strand-Electrical Installational (EIM) & Maintenance; and TVL-ICT strand-Computer System Servicing (CSS). Currently, Concepcion National High School has grown in number. This year’s enrolment (SY: 2021-2022) is 509. The students are coming from the barangays of Matarling, Lower Bañas, Pamucalin, Switchyakal, Upper Bañas, Lantawan Proper, Parian Baunoh, Baungis, and Lumbang. They are under the tutelage of nineteen (19) permanent, one (1) provisional teachers.. Administered by teacher-in-charge MR. ROMEO PEREZ as MR. ALAWI O. CNHS School Head Gary Diaz participated in the MBHTE-Basilan Division Brigada Eskwela 2026 and EASE Program Kick-Off held on June 1, 2026, in Maluso, Basilan. Together with division officials, school heads, teachers, and stakeholders, he joined the motorcade and opening activities, demonstrating CNHS's commitment to promoting accessible, inclusive, and quality education.

The event highlighted the spirit of bayanihan and strengthened partnerships among schools, communities, and government agencies in preparing for the opening of School Year 2026–2027.

Concepcion National High School officially launched Project EASE and Brigada Eskwela 2026 with a successful Day 1 activity marked by unity, volunteerism, and community spirit.

Our sincere appreciation goes to our valued partners from the Bureau of Fire Protection – Lantawan Station, Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU-Matarling Interior and Km. 18 Detachment), Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Kabalikat Civicom, BLGU- Matarling, Knights of Columbus, various fraternity organizations, and our dedicated student leaders from the Supreme Secondary Learner Government, Barkada Kontra Droga, and Youth for Environment in Schools Organization for their active participation in cleaning and preparing the school grounds for the opening of classes.

The true spirit of bayanihan shone throughout the day as volunteers worked hand in hand to ensure a cleaner, safer, and more learner-friendly environment for every Concepcionista. Their collective efforts demonstrated a shared commitment to supporting education and fostering a positive school atmosphere.

To celebrate the successful completion of the morning activities, a free boodle fight lunch was served, giving participants the opportunity to strengthen camaraderie and fellowship while sharing a well-deserved meal.

Day 1 of Project EASE and Brigada Eskwela 2026 is a testament to what can be achieved when the community, stakeholders, and student leaders unite for a common purpose. Together, we are building a school that is ready to welcome learners and inspire excellence.

Concepcion National High School: Building Brighter Classrooms Through Bayanihan

We warmly invite our stakeholders, alumni, parents, and friends of the school to take part in the upcoming Brigada Eskwela. We are currently accepting donations of paint and other materials that will help improve and maintain a clean, safe, and conducive learning environment for our students.

CNHS Ready for School Year 2026–2027

MBHTE-Concepcion National High School-Basilan conducted a meeting on the preparation for the opening of classes to ensure a smooth, organized, and learner-centered start of the school year.

Key matters discussed included the implementation of Brigada Eskwela activities, enrollment preparations and updates, teachers’ loads and class program, the strengthened Senior High School curriculum, and the trimester system implementation. Other important school opening concerns and upcoming DepEd activities were also tackled.

The meeting highlighted the importance of teamwork, commitment, and collaboration among faculty and staff in providing quality education and a safe learning environment for all learners.

Together, CNHS moves forward with excellence, readiness, and service for the school year 2026–2027.
