Laoac National High School Moore building was filled with tight hugs, tears of joy, and farewell messages as faculty and staff bid goodluck to Dr. Emielyn A. Aquinoโ€™s next journey as a principal.

After 9 years of serving as Senior High School (SHS) teacher, Dr. Aquino has officially signed off to take on another level of leadership. A new chapter unfolds as the dedicated and well-respected educator has officially been appointed as a school principal.

At her young age, who would have thought she could soar that high? Her commitment to academic excellence and passion for student development speaks out on her behalfโ€”not to mention the recognition she has received for being an outstanding teacher, which truly reflects her burning desire not only in teaching her students but in helping her colleagues.

In a short send-off program initiated by the Faculty and Staff Association (FSA) through the leadership of Mrs. Imelda T. Maceda, Mrs. Gemma D. Torio, one of the SHS teachers highlighted how Aquino became a helping hand through her technical assistance and guidance.

โ€œTo the woman I fondly call ading, thank you for taking the lead when we needed a direction, and to the adventures we had at the Senior High School,โ€ Torio expressed.

Science Department Head Mrs. Lily C. Danao never missed heart-boosting words, โ€œAko ay nalulungkot pero I am very proud of what you have become, Maโ€™am Emeilyn. Nakita ko ang iyong leadership, dedikasyon, at alab sa pagtuturo, at sa tingin ko, lahat ng iyon ay sapat at nagpapatunay kung bakit ka narito ngayon.โ€

Dr. Aquino has gone through battles and tests of fire, she has fallen so many times but still chooses to rise bigger and better. In her speech, she made sure that everyone in the building knew how they all made her courageous in all her battles.

โ€œYou will always be with me. There is no word I could think of to describe how thankful and grateful I am for all the things LNHS has taught and given me,โ€ Aqunio said.

Many of her friends such as Ms. Glecy P. Zarate, Mrs. Rhyslyn R. Salinas, Mrs. Maridol Quezon, and Ms. Carmela I. Brunio shared how good she is not only as a colleague but most especially as a friend. They mentioned how she played a role in being so caring and encouraging when it comes to achieving a certain goal.

โ€œSend of programs are a combination of joy, achievement, and the heart-tearing feeling of leavingโ€”that is just fine. Today, let us choose to feel the excitement as you take on another journey. I hope that you will do your best in your destined station and be able to establish a harmonious relation with your people,โ€ Dr. Amy T. Paco, the school principal stated.

With tight hugs and tears of joy for Dr. Aquinoโ€™s achievement, LNHS hopes this young leader good luck and success with her new journey as a school principal at Pio Generosa Elementary School.

Over a hundred of School Paper Advisers and coaches line up for a 3-day Division Training Workshop in Campus Journalism, today, at CB Mall Urdaneta.

Upon knowing the set dates for press conferences this school year, the Division Office of Pangasinan II immediately set a Training Workshop that aims to capacitate school paper advisers and coaches on different specifications of categories in the journalism competitions.

Long lines of teachers from fourth, fifth, and sixth districts are seen registeringโ€”seemingly showing their interests in participating.

In his short message, Dr. Zarex Andree E. Cabatbat, Division Coordinator for Campus Journalism, emphasized that half of the success of students in campus journalism lies hardly in the hands and knowledge of his/her coach and adviser.

โ€œThis training allows our students not only compete but also be inspired to continue or legacy in campus journalism competitions,โ€ Cabatbat said.

The organizers of the event ensure that they have invited high caliber resource speakers to share their knowledge in the field of campus journalism.

Prior to this event, the APSOA Officers through the leadership of Dr. Juliet A. Estrada, the EPS of English and Foreign Language and Dr. Marly M. Benigno, OIC, EPS of Filipino and Campus Journalism have conducted conference meeting at Managaldan National High School last month to update School paper advisers and coaches on the action plan for Campus Journalism for the current school year.

The Division Brigada Eskwela evaluators conducted Brigada Eskwela 2025 evaluation today, August 26, 2025, highlighting the schoolโ€™s efforts, partnerships, and initiatives in preparing the school and its facilities for School Year 2025-2026.

The evaluation team, composed of representatives from the Division Brigada Eskwela Committee mainly, Sir Virgilio Selga, Dr. Enrique R. Macayan, Engr. Marcelino Casem, and Sir Jodick Pulga assessed the schoolโ€™s performance based on cleanliness, safety, resource mobilization, stakeholder participation, and innovative practices. The visit also aimed to recognize the collective efforts of teachers, parents, students, and community partners who contributed their time, resources, and services during the nationwide Brigada Eskwela campaign.

School Principal Dr. Amy T. Paco alongside Mrs. Rhyslyn R. Salinas and the whole Brigada team warmly welcomed the evaluators and proudly presented the schoolโ€™s accomplishments. Among the highlights were the active involvement of parents and barangay officials in ground cleaning, repainting school facilities, setting up a reading corner, and improving the school gardens.

Division evaluators commended the school for its strong collaboration with stakeholders and for promoting a culture of volunteerism. They also noted the creative strategies implemented by the school to sustain cleanliness and enhance learnersโ€™ readiness for the new school year.

โ€œIto โ€˜yong maganda sa Brigada Eskwala, in a way, we can remind teachers and school heads about cleanliness, safety, and security,โ€ Selga said.

The results of the evaluation will determine the schoolโ€™s standing in the Division Brigada Eskwela Awards.

Dr. Amy T. Paco and Mrs. Rhyslyn R. Salinas expressed their gratitude to all teachers, students, stakeholders, SPTA officers, LNHS Alumni, Barangay officials and workers, LGU most especially to the Sanguniang Bayan Members headed by Vice Mayor Jose Benedict E. Lopena, and to Mayor Ricardo D. Balderas for extending their help to make Laoac National High School a safe and conducive school for every learner.

Despite heavy rains across the municipality early Friday morning, students of Laoac National High School show admirable dedication as they arrive on time to take their scheduled examinations, today, August 22, 2025.

Armed with umbrellas and raincoats, learners brave the downpour to complete one of the most important assessments of the academic year. The weather may have posed a challenge, but it did not dull the studentsโ€™ focus and determination.

Teachers and school staff are early to ensure classrooms are dry, safe, and well-prepared to accommodate students for their examination.

Dr. Cornelio R. Aquino, chief of Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) and Dr. Rebecca T. Gonzales, Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) pay a visit to check and monitor students, teachers, and important documents in connection to First Academic Quarter Examination. Furthermore, they provided technical assistance for the improvement and standardized test materials.

Dr. Amy Vinuya Tapeceria the school head, expressed gratitude to the CID chief and the PSDS, for visiting and noting that such monitoring boosts morale and highlight the importance of strong collaboration between schools, district, and the division office.

As the rain continued to fall outside, the atmosphere inside the classrooms remains focus and optimisticโ€”proof that even a bad weather canโ€™t stop the learners in achieving their academic goals.

In an effort to safeguard the health and well-being of students and staff, Laoac National High School in partnership of Laoac Health Unit, carried out a mosquito misting activity yesterday, August 20, 2025 within the school premises. The initiative aims to prevent the spread of mosquito-borne illnesses such as dengue, chikungunya, and malaria, which remain a health concern in many surrounding communities.

The misting operation was done in partnership with Barangay officials and CVOs of Barangay Balligi, Banuar, Botigue, Cabulalaan, Casampagaan, and Poblacion spearheaded by ABC President, Marissa R. Celino hand-in-hand with Barangay Captains of the aforementioned adjacent barangays, together with the Rural Health Unit through Madam Phoebe Tabayoyong-Giron, the municipal sanitation inspector, joined by Sir Donald L. Crispinino, the school disaster risk reduction management council (SDRRMC) coordinator, Nurse Eileen Ricafort, and Dr. Amy T. Paco, the school principal.

The activity targeted classrooms, hallways, offices, and surrounding areas of the campus where mosquitoes are likely to breed. Teachers, student and school officials were advised to immediately go home after the exam to make way for the said misting.

Dr. Paco expressed her gratitude to Mayor Ricardo D. Balderas, Dr. Danhill Vhon Rebugio, and Madam Phoebe Tabayoyong-Giron for the provision of Mosquito misting solution and for their support, noting the importance of maintaining a safe environment for learners.

The school health official, Nurse Eileen Ricafort reminded the school community that misting is only one measure in the fight against dengue. The continuous cleanliness drives, proper waste disposal, and the removal of stagnant water sources where mosquitoes can breed should still be done to mitigate the increasing number of Dengue mosquitos.

With the support of stakeholders, Laoac National High School remains committed to creating a safe and healthy learning environment for every learner.

Holy Mass happened last August 15, 2025 at LNHS 5th District Covered Court as a part of its month prayer for blessings and guidance. The said mass was presided by Rev. Fr. Manuel Sayson and is offered for students and the whole school community.

Father Sayson in his sermon highlighted the importance of humility as it is one of the ways to reach success.

โ€œAng pagiging mapagkumbaba at pagiging maintindihin ay mas higit sa taong matalino. Kahit ano mang nakakamit natin sa buhay matuto tayong mapagkumbaba at rumespeto sa iba,โ€ he mentioned.

Dr. Amy T. Paco and the whole teaching staff of LNHS is hopeful that the words of the Lord will resonate in the hearts of the students and let humility and respectfulness be the guide towards their goals.

English and Filipino departments conduct ARAL Program orientation to parents, today at Laoac National High School, Moore Building.

The Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program is a DepEd initiative focused on addressing the gaps and enhancing the quality of education in the Philippines.

Having the results from the conduct of the Philippine Informal Reading Inventory (Phil-Iri), of which 117 students are identified struggling readers in Filipino and 163 students are struggling readers in English, Dr. Amy T. Paco, Dr. Remegia V. Javier, Mrs. Grace C. Gayo and all the language teachers come up with a plan to orient the parents of learners identified about the ARAL program which is set to start on the second academic quarter of the current school year.

Through this program, the students will spend their 3:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon from Monday to Friday on developing their reading skills in both Filipino and English facilitated by all the English and Filipino teachers.

โ€œIti partisipasyon yo nga nagganak ket dakkel nga banag a makatulong tano dagitoy nga ubbing ket lumaing da nga agbasa ken mangtarus dagiti basaen da. Inaasahan namin na i-follow up natin ang ating mga anak sa bahay,โ€ Dr. Amy T. Paco emphasized.

The school hopes that this program will help decrease the number of students who are struggling in reading.
