Lapu-Lapu City dancesport athletes clinched one silver and three bronze medals in the World Dancesport Federation (WDSF) Cebu Open held from August 22 to 24, 2025, at the Pacific Grand Ballroom, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

Elizabeth Joy Bolo and Klein Manching delivered the city’s best finish, winning silver in Junior C Latin and placing fourth in Junior B Latin.

Princess Erica Macahindog and Ralph Kevin Lapaz secured bronze in Adult Grade D Latin while also finishing fourth in Grade D2 and Grade C.

Other strong performances came from Jherafel Catagcatag and Jaymark Cutamora, who placed fourth in Junior 1C and Junior 1B Latin, as well as Chelsey Vyele Ynot and Kobe James Villona, who finished fifth in Interhigh Junior 2 Open Standard.

Jaden Berenice Mejares and James Gabriel Fortaliza also placed fourth in Juvenile 2B and fifth in Juvenile 2C.

The WDSF Cebu Open is regarded as one of the country’s premier dancesport competitions, attracting top athletes nationwide.
