They said that the key to happiness is "contentment".
The truth is, we humans never get contented. We always wanted what we don't have. We don't appreciate what we already have and we always ask for more. I myself is guilty of this and I would say it is because we are comparing our lives with other people's lives. As a result we are trying to be what we are not and as we go along we forgot about the little things that is already there in front us. We become ungrateful and greedy, not knowing that you already have what you needed and you could lose that in a snap of your finger.
Contentment is a state of inner peace and satisfaction, where one feels grateful for what they have rather than constantly longing for more. It doesn't mean settling for less or lacking ambition, but rather appreciating the present moment and recognizing the value in life's simple joys. When we are content, we let go of comparison and embrace a mindset of gratitude, finding happiness not in external achievements but in the richness of everyday experiences. True contentment comes from within, rooted in acceptance, balance, and a deep understanding of what truly matters.
