Fostering Cultural Exchange, Empowering Tourism Partnerships

The Department of Tourism – Tokyo Office hosted a Cebu Familiarization Tour for top Japanese influencers, promoting direct flights from Japan to Cebu with support from Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and United Airlines.

During their trip, the influencers explored Cebu’s scenic spots, rich culture, local cuisine, and luxury resorts, sharing their experiences to inspire more Japanese travelers. Beyond sightseeing, they connected with locals and experienced the warmth of Cebuano hospitality.

The tour ended with a farewell dinner at Fili Cafe, celebrating cultural exchange, friendship, and the shared goal of sustainable, people-centered tourism.
