FEATURE —— They came, saw, and conquered, not with swords, but with pens that bled pertinence and truth.

Last September 22, 2025, the air of Mactan National High School was stirred not by cheers of athletes or the beats of performers, but by the rhythm of words dancing across paper. Aspiring campus journalists gathered to showcase not just their skills but their commitment to the true quintessence of journalism.

Journalists from the Grade 10 Special Science Class (SSC) proved that campus journalism is not a child’s play. It is discipline. It is courage. It is the unrelenting pursuit of authenticity and integrity in a world drowning in unfathomable ruckus. Their victories in the school level press conference were not measured by the certificates alone, but by the stories they dared to tell and the convictions they refused to water down. Indeed, the pen, wielded with honesty and grit, cuts deeper than indifference.

As they march on to the next level, may they continue to leave no stone unturned and remember, that the future of journalism is not in the headlines of tomorrow, but in the hands of the young who dare to write today.

🌟🎨 Big shoutout to some of our amazing 10 SSC students who took the time and effort to decorate our school bulletin board! 🙌 With their creativity, teamwork, and dedication, they were able to turn a simple space into something colorful, eye-catching, and meaningful for everyone to see. 💡💯 It wasn’t just about decorating, it was about working together, sharing ideas, and showing school spirit.

September 17, 2025 | SSC 10 is standing strong as we represent our school in the District Level Math and Science Fair held at our very own Mactan National Highschool !

We congratulate our champions for reaching this far and making us proud, and we also appreciate all the candidates who gave their best in the contest.

💪 A big salute as well to our supportive teachers and dedicated coaches who guided and motivated the students every step of the way. Together, this is a victory worth celebrating!
