Là Moi

Là Moi I never thought I'd find my place in the kitchen. Growing up, the dining area was my happy spot, not the kitchen.

But life took a turn when I moved away from my parents,I had to learn to cook. It wasn't easy, but I pushed myself to try new recipes.

This took me hours to make and it took only just 2 mornings to eat. But I never regret a single minute of making this because Cinnamon Rolls can never go wrong paired with hot coffee or chocolate milk in any time of the day. I was never into the cinnamon taste until Cinnamon Rolls won over my taste buds.

Every time I baked, I just don’t baked for us. I baked for elderly couple who always gives us fresh eggs, an elderly man who has cancer and live far from family, and few more who are living by themselves. I know i don’t need to explain but baking is a good love language.

Another perfect dessert to fight the scourging heatwave this season. And yes it is the season’s star fruit 🥭, hence this refreshing dessert is meant to be savoured these sun-kissed months.

Pancit is the iconic Filipino stir-fry noodles. This dish is extremely popular in every Filipino family gathering, especially on birthdays because according to cultural traditional, Pancit is believed to bring long life. There are many ways in cooking Pancit, some have squid balls, Chinese spicy sausage and variety of vegetables. However, with limited resources this is my best version of this timeless cuisine.

Mango Float is more than just a summer treat, it is my summer treat. I was eagerly waiting for this Mango Season to enjoy is sweet delight because canned mango just simply won’t do. It was only here in Australia that i discovered that thicken cream is the best option to use since it transforms this yummy dessert into a creamy and ice cream like bliss.

Bitter melon has distinctive bitter flavour can be a turn-off for many, but for me, it's a nostalgic delight. Growing up, bitter melon was a staple in my household. Although I don't get to enjoy it as often now, its unique taste still resonates with me.But here's the best part, this bad boy is a powerhouse of health benefits.
