Las Piñas City — July 25, 2025 — In response to the widespread flooding caused by the recent typhoon, Barangay Ilaya in Las Piñas City launched a house-to-house distribution of 170 sacks of rice to help ease the burden on affected residents.

The relief operation was spearheaded by Barangay Chairman Geny Miranda, with the full support of the Barangay Council,
Brgy Kagawads,Barangay Staff, and committed Day Care teachers who all worked together to ensure that the aid reached even the most affected households.

Chairman Miranda said “This is about showing compassion and presence during times of crisis. Our people are going through a difficult time due to the flood. The initiative prioritized fair distribution and quick response, especially for those most affected by the typhoon’s impact.

Residents expressed their gratitude for the swift action and the personal attention given by the barangay. Chairman Miranda also called on the spirit of bayanihan to remain strong: “Sa panahon ng sakuna, kailangan natin magkaisa. Tayo ay iisang komunidad — magtulungan po tayo.

Over 350 residents attended the Oath Taking Ceremony of the Las Piñeros Movement For Change (LPMFC), where the Chairman, Vice Chairman, and 9 officers from Las Piñas City's 20 barangays were officially sworn in today June 22, 2025. The event was graced by the Hon. Congressman-elect Mark Anthony Santos, Hon. Mayor-elect April Aguilar-Nery, and Sir Euan Toralballa. The ceremony highlighted unity, excitement, and a shared commitment to community development and grassroots reform.

We thank the Lord for the successful distribution of school supplies to all the community group leaders of Barangay Almanza Dos, held at the Barangay Hall. School Supplies were also given out to families along Dalhia Street.

BRIGADA ESKWELA 2025 - In collaboration and partnership with P2SBC, Church-based, CSO, EHSVEC, and MPACT at the last day of Brigada Eskwela. From Pasay to Parañaque Elementary School up to Las Pinas City. Cleaning Materials and School Supplies were donated to the School and to the students .
