Near the tail-end of Race Weekend 3 of the 2025 Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup held at the Clark International Speedway on Aug. 9, TessDrive got the chance to pick the revving brain of Toyota Motor Philippines president Masando Hashimoto.

Before the final wheel-to-wheel competition, the energy-sapping Endurance Race to cap off the TGR Philippine Cup 2025 season, Masando-san, who’s also a competitive cyclist, described his mindset heading onto the track, and how his car-totaling crash during Race Weekend 2 just a few months ago impacted his overall attitude toward the sport.
