💭 What’s Been Keeping Me Sane Lately (Besides Coffee and Grimm)
Life’s been extra hectic at work lately—but instead of letting it drain me, I’ve found a few simple, real-life ways to stay afloat (and not lose it). Sharing them here, baka ikaw din kailangan mo ng reminder.
1. My kids are My Non-Negotiable
This summer break, we started a nightly movie bonding routine—and it’s quickly become the highlight of my day. It reminds me why I chose this kind of work: so I can still be present with my kids, kahit na may deadlines.
2. Clear the Mental Clutter
Overthinking just makes things heavier than they are. I’ve learned to focus on one step at a time—and it works.
3. Speak Up Before It’s Too Late
If I know I can’t meet a deadline, I communicate early. I don’t wait until I’m drowning. Wag ipilit kung hindi kaya—hindi ako si Darna, okay?
4. Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
I’ve started delegating house stuff—because I can’t do it all, and I’m lucky I don’t have to. (Shoutout sa’yo, my real-life Superman!)
5. Don’t Just Work - Breathe
Work can be all-consuming—but it shouldn’t be. I make time for little escapes. Recently, it’s been Grimm (yes, yung siguro mga 100x ko na napanood—but go lang! It still gives me comfort and joy every time).
6. Remeber your Whys
Whenever I feel tired, I remind myself—this is what I prayed for. These projects, this busy schedule—I chose this path.
But most importantly:
I choose to honor my limits, protect my peace, and show up for myself—because a well-cared-for me is the best version I can give to my work, my family, and my dreams. ✨
