If child is sick (ubo sipon, diarrhea, etc. , then sickness po ang ichecheck and NOT included ang well child issues (vitamins, deworming, screening tests, etc), and developmental issues (delayed speech, delayed sitting, etc.). Multiple symptoms of related problem (ubo + sipon) sige lang pero multiple types of check up (symptoms of sakit + development issue) ay no no lalo kung hindi ko regular patient...
❌not accepting newborns less than 1 month old... sa ibang pedia niyo ipa"catch" ang baby during panganganak at sa iba niyo ipacheck before 1 month old

🤔potential problem/issue
🤓Binuhos ko sa posts and handouts ang combination ng mga nabasa at natutunan ko from various sources. Ang maganda doon ay ang daming puwedeng itry ng mga parents. Kung totoong gagawin ng parents ang mga nasa posts and handouts, unlikely na magpersist pa ang problem.
🖤However, after attending another lecture on feeding difficulties, narealize ko ang potential issue with my style... baka ma-overwhelm ang ibang parents. Hindi pare pareho ang levels ng selectivity at hindi lahat need ng mga more complicated techniques.

1. misperception
- happens at the end of the
first year of life, peaks between 18 to
24 months and eventually magiging okay na

2. mild selectivity / picky eaters
- usually repeated trying is not enough
👨🏻‍⚕dito pumapasok ang many techniques na diniscuss ko before like gagandahan ang presentation, involving child in preparation, etc.

- less than 10-15 lang ang klase ng kinakain
- refusal toeat whole categories of foods relatedto their taste, texture, smell,temperature, and/or appearance
ex. lahat ng white and light yellow lang ang kinakain

1. *exual contact - usually in teens and adults
- can be sign of *buse in children ❗️

2. non-*exual contact - usual cause in children
- either nadikit sa non-*enital areas na affected sa adult or sa mga gamit ng adult like tuwalya

🤓signs and symptoms

PEDICULOSIS CILIARIS aka phthiriasis palpebrarum
🖤makati ang mata
🖤may mga lisa sa pilikmata
🖤mapula ang eyelids

PEDICULOSIS P***S
🖤makati at may insekto sa *ubic region pero other areas na may coarse body hair ay puwede ring maapektohan including the eyelashes, eyebrows, beard, kili-kili, legs, bandang butas ng *uwet, and rarely, the scalp

🤓diagnosis
- usually no tests in children
- minsan need ng microscope

❗️Teens and adults with pediculosis p***s ay kailangang matest for *exually trasmitted infections.

🤓treatment
- tanggalin ang mga lisa + may ireresetang pamahid

🤓Wala po kaming obligasyon na maging available via message 24/7. We have lives outside physical clinic hours. Kung sumagot kami e di good. Kung di kami sumagot at hindi makapaghintay ng next physical clinic time, e di consult someone else virtually or physically depending on the concern.

So this happened, a friend messaged me, if I could be of help to his friend. He forwarded the concern to me and I was shocked. (I am not the pediatrician of the baby btw.)

Let this be a gentle reminder that we doctors have our own clinic schedules. Meaning, all concerns should be addressed during the clinic hours. FACEBOOK PAGES AND MESSENGERS ARE NOT YOUR CONVENIENT EMERGENCY HOTLINES. If your doctor is not around, I’m sure there are other doctors who are. 🙂

My patients know that I reply to their concerns especially when I have seen the patients PERSONALLY at the clinics, or if I am waiting for additional laboratory results, mostly with no extra charge.

pages and messengers are not intended to replace face-to-face consults, or even be your last option when you choose to self medicate and consult tiktok.😒

Please do not normalize getting mad if you do not receive an immediate response from your doctors, without knowing that they are busy hospital - or clinic - hopping (kadalasan di lang po isang lugar iniikutan ng mga yan), while you are waiting with a cellphone on hand at the comfort of your home. 😔

A little appreciation goes a loooooong way especially when your doctor finds time to reply even to your simplest queries. 🙂🙏
