KUMUSTA KA 'NAK?

In celebration of Teachers’ Day, let us remember and appreciate the teachers who observe and take the time to check on us; the teachers who are always ready to listen supported by love. Those teachers who treat us just like their own children; the teachers who bring comfort, joy, bond and unity. The second mothers and fathers who serve in our education and lead in compassion.

Thank you to all the teachers who have guided us throughout our journey. You will always play a special role in our life's adventure, and we hope we play one in yours too. Thank you!

Happy World Teachers' Day to all of our wonderful teachers!

Together, let us celebrate this day to honor and appreciate those who have played an important role in our lives, the ones we call our second parents: our teachers.

Being a teacher is not easy. It requires patience, sacrifice, and willingness to give. A teacher, a mentor, is always dedicated to making sure that their students grow and learn.

Behind every lesson, every activity, and every late night they spent on checking papers, is their unconditional love, support, and dedication.

As we celebrate this month, we the Junior Perpetualites and the students of the JBHS, would like to thank all the teachers who have taught us countless lessons. Thank you for guiding us to the right path, for encouraging us when we doubted ourselves, and for believing in us when we struggled to believe in ourselves.

Once again, Happy Teachers' Day to all of our teachers! Thank you for your unwavering support and utmost love for your students.

WINNERS BEHIND THE WINNERS

Behind every medal earned, every diploma received, and every dream achieved stands a teacher, the unseen light guiding tomorrow’s leaders. They are the ones who believe in us even when we doubt ourselves, who stay late to guide us, and who give not just knowledge but wisdom to carry through life.

They are role models, motivators, and second parents who pour their love and effort into every lesson. While students shine on stage, it is the teachers’ light that makes that brilliance possible.

Truly, they are the winners behind the winners, the heroes whose victories are measured not in trophies, but in the success and gratitude of their students. Happy Teachers’ Day!

We are the young ones, born long after Martial Law. But we are not blind to its shadows, nor deaf to its echoes. We have read the stories and listened to the elderly. We learned how fear can be used to cage a nation. We also know how age can suppress the young.

That part of history is not just a memory. It is a lesson. It is a warning.

Corruption steals the future of the youth. It floods the houses of people who are underprivileged. It forces those who cannot afford proper healthcare to beg. Corruption is an enemy that thrives when people stop paying attention and voicing out. We, the young, The Junior Perpetualite, refuse to be silent. As Perpetualites, we are called Helpers of God, and helping means standing for what is just, true, and good. Speaking up is a form of compassion, and if speaking up will create a dent, make the ‘comfortable’ listen, we, by all means, with our little voices, should speak up. Because to stay silent means to side with the oppressor.

Tama na. Sobra na. Panahon na para wakasan ang korapsyon.

53 years after the declaration of Martial Law on September 21, 1972, Filipinos once again took to the streets to remember a past too dark to be forgotten.
