How Does Smoking Affect Teeth?

Smoking doesn’t just change how your teeth look. It also affects the health of your gums and mouth.

When you smoke, the blood flow in your gums slows down. This makes it harder for them to stay strong and fight infection. Over time, your gums can get weaker, which may lead to gum disease or even tooth loss.
