ππππ| CSU Lasam Kicks Off AY 2025β2026 with Sparrows' Grand Salubong
LASAM, Cagayan β Cagayan State University β Lasam Campus welcomed the Academic Year 2025β2026 with its annual Sparrows' Grand Salubong, held today at the Laboratory and Academic Building. This yearβs theme, βMeet, Greet, and Commit: Embracing New Horizons in SPARROWS' Chronicles of Triumph and Excellence,β set the tone for an inspiring start to the school year.
Returning students from the College of Teacher Education (CTED), College of Industrial Technology (CIT), and College of Information and Computing Sciences (CICS), together with the faculty and administrative personnel, joined in the grand parade to welcome the new members of the CSU Lasam community.
The program officially began with warm opening remarks from Jennylyn L. Alnajes, Campus Chief of Staff who highlighted the essence of being a CSU Lasam "Sparrow," emphasizing the symbolic traits students should embody.
"Sparrows are wise and focused. They focus their energy and expertise to the things that they want to achieve. We at CSU-Lasam aim to embody the characteristics of a sparrow," the Chief stated.
Moreover, Mark Jellicoe Rodillas, CSC Co-Adviser presented the newly elected officers of Campus Student Council for the Academic Year 2025-2026.
Campus Human Resource Management Officer Catherine M. Salva introduced the campus administrative personnel, followed by Campus Academic Coordinator Judelyn U. Cantor, who presented the esteemed faculty members from the three academic departments.
In his closing message, CSC President Jomar M. Godoy welcomed the freshmen with gratitude and inspiration.
"Let this day remind us of the strength we hold as one communityβbound by shared goals, collective dreams, and the pursuit of excellence," Pres. Godoy stated.
The event concluded with a campus tour and departmental orientations for the incoming freshmen, marking the start of their academic journey at CSU Lasam.
