Traveling post-stroke takes extra planning, but proving to yourself that you can still explore the world is worth every bit of effort. Small adjustments make big trips possible. 🧳✈️

Some Travel Tips for Life After Stroke:
✅Book Airport Assistance Early: Request wheelchair or gate-to-gate es**rt services when you buy your ticket, not at the check-in desk.
✅Keep Gear in Your Carry-On: Pack your AFO, braces, medications, and therapy bands in your personal item so they never get lost in transit.
✅Build in Buffer Days: Schedule a full rest day after travel days to give your brain and body time to reset before sightseeing.

Well… our first attempt at creating a product video didn’t exactly go as planned. 😂

I was so focused on what I should say that I didn’t realize I had completely stepped out of frame. Meanwhile, T was doing everything he could to hold back his laughter… until he finally lost it. 😂

We had fun making it, though — and apparently, the bloopers are part of the process. 🤣

Would you have been able to keep a straight face? 😂

Looking back at this trip to the Philippines brings up so many great memories. 🇵🇭✨

Taking a trip after a stroke definitely takes extra planning, pace breaks, and a lot of patience. But if this journey has taught us anything, it’s that life doesn't stop—we just adapt and find a new way to enjoy the world. 🌴🤍

Slowing down actually helped us appreciate the quiet moments so much more.

To our stroke community: Have you taken any trips since recovery started, or is there somewhere you’re planning to go? Share your experiences or travel goals below—we’d love to read them! 👇

The wins that don’t look like much to anyone else, but mean a lot to us. 🧠💪

Stroke recovery isn’t always about giant leaps or dramatic milestones. Most days, progress looks like holding a cup a little steadier, standing a few seconds longer, or just having the energy to get through the afternoon.

Never discount the small steps. They’re the ones building the path back.

"Progress doesn’t disappear just because you paused." 🧠⚡

Consistency in neuro rehab is hard. When fatigue hits, even simple grasp-and-release drills with the SaeboFlex take everything you’ve got.

Looking back at T pushing through these box-to-box transfers was the exact reminder we needed today: a pause isn't a failure. Time to get back to the daily reps! 💪

Caregiving teaches you to slow down and find strength you didn't even know you had. It’s hard work with long days and a lot to balance, but the simple, quiet moments together make it all worth it.

Here’s to the patience, the daily effort, and everyone taking care of a loved one today. 🤲🤍

A while back, walking a trail wasn't even on the table for T.

Before a stroke, you take a simple walk for granted. After? Even on a smooth, paved path, every step takes real focus and effort.

Re-learning automatic movements changes how you see things. Getting out here and putting in the distance on a paved trail is a win that took time to earn.

Where is one place recovery has brought you or your loved one back to?

Throwing it back to our trip to the Philippines last January! Here’s T eating breakfast at the resort where we celebrated my brother-in-law’s birthday.

Stroke recovery takes a village. Even though our family in the Philippines lives far away, they are always there for T when we need them.

We really appreciate their support, no matter the distance.
