SEN. IMEE CLAIMS PRESIDENT MARCOS JR. USING ILLEGAL DRUGS

During the second day of the Iglesia ni Cristo’s anti-corruption rally, Senator Imee Marcos made a striking allegation against her brother, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., claiming that he has been using illegal drugs. She stated that the issue has been known within their family for some time and stressed that it is a serious matter that can no longer be ignored.

Imee further alleged that First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos is also involved in drug use, suggesting that the situation worsened because both spouses are reportedly affected. What was once seen as a step toward stability in the family, she said, has instead deepened their internal concerns.

In her message, Senator Imee urged the President to put his health first, seek help, and break free from anything that harms him. She emphasized that losing a position in government is nothing compared to losing a loved one, saying she can accept political loss but not the loss of her brother.

Her remarks added tension to the ongoing rally, stirring intense reactions from the crowd and further heating up the national conversation.

BREAKING NEWS: Tsunami Advisory Issued for Philippine Coasts After Massive Russia Quake

LEGAZPI CITY, Bicol, Philippines – July 30, 2025, 9:56 AM PST – A Tsunami Information No. 2 has been issued for multiple Philippine coastal areas following a powerful magnitude 8.7 earthquake that struck off the East Coast of Kamchatka, Russia, at 7:25 AM today.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) warns of a minor sea-level disturbance with potential tsunami waves expected to arrive starting between 1:20 PM and 2:40 PM Philippine Standard Time (PST) this afternoon. While waves are projected to be less than one meter, authorities are urging extreme caution.

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED:

PHIVOLCS has issued a stern advisory for residents in the following provinces:

Batanes Group of Islands
Cagayan
Isabela
Aurora
Quezon
Camarines Norte
Camarines Sur
Albay
Sorsogon
Catanduanes
Northern Samar
Eastern Samar
Leyte
Southern Leyte
Dinagat Islands
Surigao del Norte
Surigao del Sur
Davao del Norte
Davao Oriental
Davao Occidental
Davao del Sur
Davao de Oro

"The concerned public is advised to STAY AWAY FROM THE BEACH AND NOT TO GO TO THE COAST of the following provinces until the cancellation of this advisory," PHIVOLCS stated in its latest bulletin.

Residents located very near the shoreline in these areas are strongly advised to MOVE FARTHER INLAND IMMEDIATELY.

Boat owners in harbors, estuaries, or shallow coastal waters in the affected provinces must secure their vessels and move them away from the waterfront. All boats should stay offshore in deep waters until the advisory is lifted.

This is a developing situation. Stay tuned to official government channels and local news for further updates and instructions. Do not rely on unofficial sources. Your safety is paramount.

ICC prosecutor Karim Khan, kinumpirma ang pagpapatuloy ng imbestigasyon sa Duterte drug war
Kinumpirma ni International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor Karim Khan ang pagpapatuloy pa rin imbestigasyon ukol sa drug war ng nakalipas na administrasyon, sa kabila ng nakatakdang confirmation hearing sa kaso ni dating Pang. Rodrigo Duterte.
Ayon kay Khan, ang mga ebidensiyang lalabas sa isasagawang imbestigasyon ay muling rerepasuhin ng prosecution at iprepresenta rin sa ICC sa mga susunod na araw.
Maalalang noong Abril-4 ay isinumite ni Khan ang isang 10-page document sa Pre-Trial Chamber I ng ICC kung saan nakasaad ang ilang impormasyon ukol sa nagpapatuloy na imbestigasyon.
Kinalaunan ay inilabas ng ICC sa publiko ang kopya ng naturang dokumento ngunit ang available copy ay isang redacted version o may mga bahagi nito na hindi na binuksan.
Una nang lumabas ang impormasyon na maliban sa dating pangulo ay ilang mga suspek sa madugong drug war ang subject din sa nagpapatuloy nitong imbestigasyon.
Magugunitang ang arrest warrant na inilabas ng Pre-Trial Chamber I ay sumentro lamang sa crimes against humanity na murder kung saan 24 cases ang nai-dokumento sa ilalim ng drug war ng nakalipas na administrasyon.

Pasukan sa public schools, itinakda sa Hunyo 16
Inianunsiyo ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang opisyal nang pagsisimula ng klase sa mga public schools sa bansa sa Hunyo 16, 2025 para sa School Year 2025-2026.
Ito ay hudyat nang pagbabalik na ng klase sa bansa sa orihinal na June-March school ca­lendar, na siyang umiiral bago ang pandemic.
Alinsunod na rin ito sa itinatakda ng DepEd Order No. 12, Series of 2025.
Ayon sa DepEd, ang paparating na school year ay mayroong 197 school days, kasama na ang End-of-School-Year (EOSY). Nakatakda naman itong magtapos hanggang sa Marso 31, 2026.
Inianunsiyo na rin ng DepEd na ang enrollment at Brigada Eskwela ay nakatakdang idaos isang linggo bago opisyal na magsimula ang klase o mula Hunyo 9 hanggang 13.

Patay ang isang dalagita matapos na malunod sa swimming pool ng isang resort na under construction kamakalawa sa bayan ng Kawit, dito sa lalawigan.
Hindi na naisalba pa sa pagamutan ang biktima na kinilala sa alyas “Camille”. Ayon sa imbestigasyon ng pulisya, alas-6:10 ng gabi nang maganap ang insidente sa Chloe Ryss Miguel Resort.
Ayon na rin sa pool owner na si Jose Gatdula, kinumpirma nito na kasalukuyan pang itinatayo at sarado pa sa publiko ang kanyang resort. Bumisita umano rito ang biktima at kanyang pamilya nitong April 18 para sa family reunion at isa rito ay dating empleyado ng may-ari ng resort.

Sa kuha CCTV camera sa resort, makikita ang biktima na nasa kiddie pool at lumipat sa adult pool nang hindi napansin ng mga kasamahan at nag-swimming hanggang sa malunod.
Tinangka pang i-revive ang dalagita ng kaniyang tiyuhin bago dinala sa pagamutan subalit idineklara nang dead-on- arrival.
