𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | With the issues on corruption in the Philippines flood our headlines, the Grade 12 HUMSS students of Computer Systems Institute created a commentary through a production of short films. As part of their performance task in one of their lessons in Creative Nonfiction, the four short films dwell with the social issues currently happening in the country.

These short films will exclusively be featured on the official page of The Messenger.

Three years since it's reborn, The Messenger is still built of the vision for truth, freedom, and change. Behind its achievements are their mentors who never held them back. As we celebrate Teachers' Day, the publication does not only recognize its Student Publication Advisers, Ma'am Des and Ma'am Kat, but also all teachers who contributed to their success. Teachers have a special place in the hearts of this team as they do more than just mentor. They show them how and why they should fly.

𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗚𝗘 | CSIANS BECOME TEACHERS FOR A DAY
𝘉𝘺 𝘈𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭 𝘗𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳

In celebration of World Teachers’ Day, students of Computer Systems Institute (CSI) took over the roles of their teachers yesterday, October 3.

Through the initiative of the HUMSS Organizations, students volunteered to experience the profession and gave the time for teachers to rest for a day.

“Naranasan ko yung struggles ng teachers sa students,” shared Hanna Myer Bechayda, one of the student participants. Bechayda is a Grade 12 HUMSS student who took over some of the classes of Ms. Desiree Mae Diaz for a day.

According to Bechayda, the experience made her adore her teachers even more. It was an eye-opening to student participants like her as they step into classroom roles and see what it is like to be a teacher. It gave them a firsthand experience of the patience and commitment, qualities that are often overlooked by some students.

The activity was participated by Senior High School students in both Main and Extension buildings. The celebration of Teachers' Day was concluded by a short program by the Supreme Student Government in the afternoon.

Teachers are one of the reason why are some of us are very successful in life. and they are also the reason why us (students) have very good vocabulary in terms of mathematics, english, science etc.

In every, "class dissmissed", "class keep quiet" is a parent who has a responsibility not just in school but also in their homes, they discipline their kids, just like the students, that is why they deserve the title such as "𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙄𝙣 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡" and "𝘽𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧". Because their hardwork, burning passion and dedication just to deliver us a very good lesson even though some of students are hardheaded they just kept going everyday without complaining and not getting tired. That's why their hardwork 𝙉𝙀𝙀𝘿𝙎 𝙏𝙊 𝘽𝙀 𝙋𝘼𝙔 𝙊𝙁𝙁.
