We are pleased to announce the official release of the results for the 𝗕𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 (𝗕𝗨𝗖𝗘𝗧) for the𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. Following a thorough evaluation of 𝟭𝟴,𝟵𝟱𝟯 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀, we are delighted to inform you that 𝟱,𝟰𝟬𝟲 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 have successfully qualified for admission as incoming first-year students across the diverse array of degree programs offered at Bicol University.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all successful applicants! Your unwavering dedication, hard work, and perseverance have culminated in this significant achievement. You are now poised to embark on an exciting academic journey at one of the leading institutions in the region. We commend your efforts and eagerly anticipate welcoming you into the vibrant Bicol University community.

For those who were not admitted this year, we acknowledge the considerable effort you invested in the application process. A total of 𝟭,𝟰𝟱𝟬 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 have been placed on the waitlist, and we encourage you to remain hopeful, as opportunities may arise in the near future.

Further, we would like to bring to the attention of all BUCIT applicants an important update in accordance with 𝗖𝗠𝗢 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭𝟯, 𝘀. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯. Effective𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the following degree programs will undergo a change in course names:

• BS in Automotive Technology will be renamed to BindTech major in Automotive Technology
• BS in Mechanical Technology will be renamed to BindTech major in Mechanical Technology
• BS in Electronics Technology will be renamed to BindTech major in Electronics Technology
• BS in Electrical Technology will be renamed to BindTech major in Electrical Technology
• BS in Civil Technology will be renamed to BindTech major in Construction Technology, under the Ladderized Bachelor of Industrial Technology program.

𝘾𝙊𝙉𝙂𝙍𝘼𝙏𝙐𝙇𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉𝙎! | MELE results released, BU receives 66.35% passing rate

Bicol University (BU)-Legazpi gained 66.35% passing rate in the February 2025 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination (MELE) with a total of 104 examinees.

Ninety-seven of the total examinees were first time takers with 70.10% passing rate and 1 out of 7 re-takers passed the examination.

Meanwhile, the overall passing rate of the February MELE is 48.89% with 3,089 out of 6,318 examinees passed according to the Professional Regulation Commission.

The Momento expresses their warm greetings to our dearest ate and kuya that took the board exam last February 17-19, 2025. You are now reaping the fruit of your hard work and dedication.

Congrats, New Mechanical Engineers from Bicol University! Unto the next journey!
