OFFICIAL SOLIDARITY STATEMENT
IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE KILOS KONTRA KORUP MOVEMENT: A DECLARATION AGAINST CORRUPTION, FOR TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY, AND INTEGRITY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2025
We, the Bicol University College of Industrial Technology College Student Council (CSC), together with our Department-Based Organizations (DBOs) and College-Based Organizations (CBOs), stand in firm solidarity with the Filipino people in denouncing corruption and demanding transparency, accountability, and integrity from those in power.
As BUCITeños at mga Iskolar ng Bayan whose education is sustained by the people’s trust and sacrifices, we recognize that to remain silent in the face of corruption is to be complicit. Corruption robs the nation of progress, denies youth their future, and erodes the foundations of justice and democracy. Every peso lost to corruption is a future stolen—a student left without resources, a family trapped in poverty, a community deprived of growth.
We refuse to turn a blind eye. As beneficiaries of the people’s investment, we pledge to be vigilant, vocal, and steadfast in holding leaders accountable. We will not allow the cycle of impunity to continue unchallenged.
We call on fellow BUCITeños, youth, and citizens: let us unite our voices to demand truth and justice. Let us not fear to speak out, for silence empowers the corrupt. Together, we must shed light where corruption thrives in darkness.
Let our collective stand amplify the call:

The Food and Service Management Organization participated in the "𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐂𝐈𝐓: 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐔𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞ñ𝐨 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬" program organized by the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥. The program provided valuable insights on essential leadership skills, true service and student welfare discussed by our honored guest speaker, 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚, 𝐋𝐏𝐓, 𝐉.𝐃., 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐔𝐒𝐂 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐔, giving the participants the chance to reflect on their strengths and leadership styles, helping them grow as a student leaders.

The Oath-taking ceremony was also led by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗼, 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗻 to formally recognize and commit student leaders to their roles and responsibilities. This meaningful event served great opportunities for all the participants to enhance their leadership abilities and prepare for future challenges with confidence and purpose.

On September 13, 2025, the BTVTEd Food and Service Management students participated in the Thunderous Parade, marking the official start of the BUchella Frosh Welcome Party. With great enthusiasm, the FSM students walked the entire parade route, showing their school spirit and support for the university’s welcoming tradition.⁣⁣

Their presence highlighted their commitment to campus life and offered a warm reception to the incoming freshies despite the cold weather. The parade provided an excellent opportunity for students to engage with peers and build a strong sense of community. In compliance with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) declaration of No Classes in both private and public schools in select provinces, including the Province of Albay, and No Work in government offices on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, and in alignment with Albay PDRRMC–APSEMO Advisory No. 2025-23 suspending face-to-face classes and government work in Albay on the same day, the University is implementing the following adjustments.

In consideration of the safety and welfare of all students and personnel, please be informed of the following:

(a) The BUChella 2025 Welcome Activity for Freshmen and Returning Students, rescheduled on August 26–27, 2025, shall be postponed until further notice.
(b) The conduct of classes on August 26, 2025, shall be through online asynchronous mode to ensure continuity of learning without requiring physical presence on campus.
(c) The Procurement and Management Office is hereby directed to assist the students and organizers in facilitating their procurement requirements for the rescheduled welcome activity.

Further announcements on the detailed program and updated schedule of the rescheduled welcome activity will be released by the event organizers. All concerned are advised to await these official communications and take note of any necessary adjustments to help ensure the orderly and successful conduct of the event.

Maligayang Araw ng mga Bayani!

Ang Bicol University ay nakikiisa sa mahalagang pagdiriwang na ito bilang parangal sa ating mga makabago at pambansang bayani. Nawa’y ating alalahanin din ang mga nag-alay ng buhay sa pagtataguyod ng kalayaan, demokrasya, at kabutihang panlahat.

Dahil dito, pinapaalalahanan ang lahat na walang pasok sa eskwela at opisina sa lahat ng antas ng unibersidad sa araw na ito. Magpapatuloy ang pasok at regular na operasyon bukas, Martes, ika-26 ng Agosto kasalukuyang taon.

Nawa’y maging ligtas, masaya, at makahulugan ang araw na ito!
