𝗕𝗨 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗨𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱; 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

In compliance with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) declaration of No Classes in both private and public schools in select provinces, including the Province of Albay, and No Work in government offices on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, and in alignment with Albay PDRRMC–APSEMO Advisory No. 2025-23 suspending face-to-face classes and government work in Albay on the same day, the University is implementing the following adjustments.

In consideration of the safety and welfare of all students and personnel, please be informed of the following:

(a) The BUChella 2025 Welcome Activity for Freshmen and Returning Students, rescheduled on August 26–27, 2025, shall be postponed until further notice.
(b) The conduct of classes on August 26, 2025, shall be through online asynchronous mode to ensure continuity of learning without requiring physical presence on campus.
(c) The Procurement and Management Office is hereby directed to assist the students and organizers in facilitating their procurement requirements for the rescheduled welcome activity.

Further announcements on the detailed program and updated schedule of the rescheduled welcome activity will be released by the event organizers. All concerned are advised to await these official communications and take note of any necessary adjustments to help ensure the orderly and successful conduct of the event.

We seek your full cooperation and understanding as we give utmost priority to the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff, while ensuring the continuity of academic activities. For strict compliance.

Maligayang Araw ng mga Bayani!

Ang Bicol University ay nakikiisa sa mahalagang pagdiriwang na ito bilang parangal sa ating mga makabago at pambansang bayani. Nawa’y ating alalahanin din ang mga nag-alay ng buhay sa pagtataguyod ng kalayaan, demokrasya, at kabutihang panlahat.

Dahil dito, pinapaalalahanan ang lahat na walang pasok sa eskwela at opisina sa lahat ng antas ng unibersidad sa araw na ito. Magpapatuloy ang pasok at regular na operasyon bukas, Martes, ika-26 ng Agosto kasalukuyang taon.

Nawa’y maging ligtas, masaya, at makahulugan ang araw na ito!

The Bicol University - University Student Council (USC) conveys its sincerest apologies to the entire student body and all concerned for the inconvenience occasioned by the recent development concerning the suspension of classes tomorrow, August 22, 2025.

Following an emergency meeting with the USC Officers, Faculty Advisers, the officials from Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), and the University President, and after due consideration of prevailing circumstances that pose potential risks, it was resolved, in the paramount interest of student safety and welfare, 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗨𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟮–𝟮𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟲–𝟮𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.

For clarity, the entirety of the program flow and the sequence of activities remain intact and unaffected by this change. Only the date of implementation has been adjusted.

The USC emphasizes that the protection, security, and well-being of our fellow students are of utmost and overriding importance in every decision undertaken. While this development is unforeseen and beyond the control of the Council, the administration, and the organizing committees, we earnestly appeal for your patience, understanding, and continued support.

An Official Memorandum shall be duly issued by the Office of the University President to formally effectuate the rescheduling of the aforementioned activity and to provide the necessary authority for the official excuse of all affected students from their academic engagements during said dates. Said issuance shall serve as the binding directive so as to ensure proper recognition, legitimacy, and enforcement of the adjustments made.

Rest assured that the University Student Council, alongside the University administration, remains steadfast in ensuring that BUChella 2025 will be conducted in an atmosphere that is not only festive and meaningful but above all, safe for all participants.
