Each has her story etched in stone. Her legacy brings the journey further. They deserve more than just appreciation alone.

: Spiritual Solitude.

In my other life, I wore the cloak of service. I went in with a team of Divine Word Missionary padres in serving in the name of Christ.

Years after I retired the vestment, the calling is still there. The brothers are still there. But whenever I head over to a chapel, or a church- I give a few minutes of my time to be in solitude.

Finally, the return of a legend!

Vic Parillas is one of my field partners back in the day. As a professor he balances his time doing photography in his spare hours.

A seasoned wedding photographer, Vic returns to the camera and does so with a renewed sense of enthusiasm. A slight mishap on the web caused his previous page to go down. But now, Vibrant Pixels Reborn has indeed, made a comeback!

: every moment counts.

I guess it becomes a philosophy most photographers have sworn to live by when they say: every shot matters; every second of that event counts.

Because we can never tell when the next best shot will take place. We can never be sure if the person can return to do another photoshoot. We can never be certain if that awesome sunset photo will be repeated in the year.

All of that, is uncertain- until you have captured that moment that brings out the best in you, and whatever (or whoever) it is you're taking pictures of.

And yes- I have my fair share of regrets of not taking assignments before. I had my share of missed opportunities, I had cancelled shoots with various friends and colleagues because something else has come up, even shoots involving my favorite people and my amazing muse were reshuffled or outright closed because of matters beyond my scope.

So, make the most out of the moment you're in, because it may be the best you can have and it may never come again.

Like ol' Joe Edelman says in his videos, your next shot, could be your best shot. So keep learning and shootin' ;)

The Photographer’s Rap Sheet

This is Lawrence of L2 Photography and Media Services, a Legazpi-based photographer.

Established in 2011 as Lawrence Lay Photography, I offer photography services towards Events, Products, Portraiture and Fashion, and Aerial imaging services. In moments where I cannot meet the demands of the client, or due to situations that can hinder my work for other clientele, I do consultancy services to clients who need to seek photographers who can meet their requirements regardless of whatever the factors may be.

In my spare time, I also do travel and landscape on the ground, and by air, and when situations call for it, film making.
