โThe 10-day workcamp of volunteers from YMCA Taichung finally comes to an end on July 31, 2025. Those days are filled with heartfelt connection and memories that were created by Taiwanese campers together with Filipino volunteers.
โ
โOn day 9, we were given a chance to explore the natural, picturesque, and historical tourist spots within Albay. The campers witnessed and discovered the beauty and history of Hoyop-hoyopan Cave, Sumlang Lake, Cagsawa Ruins, and the National Museum-Bicol located in Daraga. The day ended with a small program hosted by our enthusiastic and multi-talented BU-CYC volunteersโ ๐ ๐ซ. ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฅ ๐. ๐๐ก๐ฅ๐๐๐ and ๐ ๐ซ. ๐๐ฉ๐๐ก ๐ฃ. ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ฅ๐ข.

โThe farewell dinner held in the YMCA was attended by the YMCA-Albay executive staff and board of trustees. The campers presented several cultural performances to show their appreciation for everyone's effort. Additionally, both Taiwanese and Filipino volunteers shared their heartfelt testimonies that stirred emotions as they recollect and cherish the moments spent together.
โ
โAs the time of leaving came so fast, the 10th day is brimming with emotions as we bade our goodbyes. The campers went to Legazpi Boulevard to witness the sunriseโ symbolizing a new beginning to start and no matter how many challenges we faced, there's always hope in everything. It was filled with tears, smiles, laughs, and hugs. Both Taiwanese and Filipino volunteers gave giftsโ souvenirs signifying a strong connection built within the work camp.
