The Independent Student Publication of the University of Santo Tomas–Legazpi was recognized as one of the organizations championing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Philippines in its purpose-driven campus journalism.

The recognition reflects the Aquinian Herald's longstanding commitment to campus journalism as a catalyst for public awareness, critical discourse, and community involvement in pursuit of the SDGs. The publications reporting from the student's perspective and addressing the community's concerns raises the voice of under-reported issues, encourages civic responsibility, and empowers Thomasians with information to create a more equitable and environmentally sustainable campus and society.

𝗘𝗶𝗱 𝗔𝗹-𝗔𝗱𝗵𝗮 𝗠𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗸!

Eid Al-Adha or the Festival of Sacrifice is one of the two most important celebrations in the Islamic calendar. This annual festival commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah. It honors unwavering faith and devotion, and coincides with the conclusion of Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca.

We extend our warmest greetings to our brothers and sisters in the Muslim community. May Allah accept your sacrifices and bless you with endless peace and prosperity.

𝐆𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝

The voices remain unscathed—relentless.
Lost within the noises—drowning is all there is;
The countless despairs.
The crumbled ideals and goals.

Those numerous hardships and trials,
Although pinning you down again and again,
Keep on running for miles—
Acknowledge the “when”.

No talents?
No miracles?
Felt empty?
Felt powerless?

Once swept off your feet by a gust of cowardice.
Losing something after just gaining something.
The exhaustion that deviates you towards nothing.
The deterioration of the art of loving.

Acknowledge the pain,
Acknowledge the weight,
Acknowledge the rain,
And acknowledge the great.

No matter what time holds,
The ability to sit and sail in a boat full of monsters
Whilst reminding oneself of their values,
Contains greater land than any continent on Earth.
