GENERAL RULES FOR BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
GUIDELINES📌
1. All players must be a bona fide resident of Barangay Lacag and Registered Voter or had been residing in the barangay for at least Six (6) months upon the start of the Tournament.
2. There will be 2 categories, namely: 22 Above and 21 below
3. Each Purok must have only one (1) team for each category, totaling eight (8) teams per category.
4. Each team must consist of fifteen (15) team members.
5. Import players are strictly PROHIBITED.
6. All teams required to PARTICIPATE IN THE OPENING CEREMONIES. ATLEAST 8 OR 10 PLAYERS IN EACH TEAM TOGETHER WITH THEIR MUSE.
REGISTRATION📌
1. Each team captain or any representative of each Purok must get the form to the SK Office for the list of their members. The list that they're going to submit shall be deemed final; adding or exchanging players is prohibited.
2. You can get the forms on May 11 and submit them on May 17-18.
3. Each player must submit and secure a copy of his ID or any proof of residency here at Lacag.
4. PLAYERS MUST SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING:
a. Latest 2x2 picture (1 pc.)
b. NSO/PSA Birth Certificate (Photocopy)
c. Photocopy of Valid ID (Senior)
d. Voters Certificate (Photocopy)
d. Player Waiver/Parental Consent
5. There will be a registration fee per team for each category to be collected by our SK Treasurer, Kate Diane M. Vida, upon submission of the requirements. NOT REFUNDABLE.

UNIFORM📌
1. Each team will be allowed to play if they are in their proper basketball attire and in good condition. NO JERSEY, NO PLAY.
2. Surnames must be printed above the number at the back of the jersey.
3. An athlete who's not in their proper uniform will be INELIGIBLE to participate in a given game/match.
GAME DAY📌
1. On the scheduled game day, teams must arrive at the venue 20 minutes before the game starts.
2. Playing with the influence of alcohol is PROHIBITED. A member who violates the guidelines will be banned from playing throughout the game.
3. A player committing a technical or unsportsmanlike act will be SUBSTITUTED immediately for a cool-off.
4. The TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE WILL NOT BE LIABLE to any injury that might occur during the game, in and out of the playing area.
5. DEFAULT FEE will be charged amounting of 1,000 if the team didn't appeared on their scheduled game day.
GROUND RULES📌
1. Teams with perfect standing or no lose will have twice to beat advantage in the semi-final round.
2. In case of tie, the team that defeats the other shall have the precedence.
3. In case of triple tie, POINT SYSTEM shall be APPLIED.
4. Top 2 teams for each bracket will advance to SEMI-FINALS ROUND.
5. Teams that will win in semi-final round will advance to the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.
6. CHAMPIONSHIP GAME will be best of 3 and the losing team for semi- final round will have a battle for 3rd runner-up.
7. UN-PLAYED games due to unforeseen event shall be rescheduled.
8. Final briefing of team coaches and team captains shall be conducted before the start of the tournament at the date, time, and place to be announced by the committee.
Guidelines for Resumption of Postponed Basketball Games
These guidelines apply to games that have been postponed at any point during play, whether in the first or second half. The aim is to ensure fairness, continuity, and player safety when resuming a game.
Resumption of Score and Time
Continuity of Score: The game will resume with the exact score at the moment of postponement. No adjustments or resets will be made to the score.
Continuity of Time: The game will resume with the exact remaining time on the game clock at the moment of postponement. This includes any remaining time in the quarter in which the postponement occurred, and subsequent quarters as applicable.
Player Eligibility for Rescheduled Game
Players Who Participated: Only players who were on the official roster and actively participated (i.e., checked into the game at any point) in the postponed game prior to its postponement are eligible to play in the rescheduled game.
Players Who Did Not Participate: Players who were on the official roster for the original game but did not play (i.e., did not check into the game) prior to its postponement are NOT eligible to play in the rescheduled game.
