Gaban rushes to Gunko

Gaban: Their culture, their history, their children—even their military might! You lot don’t have the right to steal any of it!

Gunko: A crew of the Pirate King?! Resistance means a hostage's death!

The Elbaph Kids recognize Ya-san and they're telling Colon that he arrived.

Gaban: Don't call me out, Colon!

Colon: DAADDD!!! That's my dad! My dad who's stronger than everybody else!!! We're saved everyone! Yay!

Gunko rushes over to Colon and point's a sword-shaped arrow at his neck.

Gaban: GUH!

Colon: DON'T!!!

Gunko: So I take it that your response is it's ok for me to kill, right?

Gaban: This is the last chance! The fire in the library can still be taken out. The kids will be saved, and consequently, Elbaph too! I need to do an instant takedown!

Gaban: Colon! Give me one second! Bear it for now! You're a strong kid!

Colon: Ok Dad! I'm a Warrior! Take care of this one!

Gaban: Please bear your wounds for now! I'm gonna save you!

Gunko: A lost life cannot be brought back.

*Flashback*

Ripley: It's our child, Ya-san!

Gaban: He's so big and cute! Thank you for birthing him, Ripley. He's my life's treasure.

*Back to present*

Ripley: Please be safe, Colon!

Gaban: If I don't stop this now, this incident will escalate!

*Gaban sees into the future using Advanced Observation Haki. Colon's neck got stabbed by Gunko.

Colon: GYAAAHHHH!!!

*Back to reality*

Colon: I will bear it!

Gaban stops in his tracks, he's very near to Gunko. He throws his axes down and did the same arms-up stance when he surrendered against Luffy and Zoro, but this time, he's emotional and is in tears.

Gaban: Please stop... I surrender...

Gaban: I'm sorry, Elbaph...

Gunko: Such a weak being...

Gunko fires three arrows on Gaban and it pierced his chest, sending him falling down.

TITLE: One Second

COVER PAGE: The Straw Hats are in a maid café, with the Straw Hat girls—including Lilith and Bonney—wearing maid costumes.

BRIEF SUMMARY:

The chapter picks up where the last one left off with Scopper Gaban facing off against Sommers. Gaban completely defeats Sommers, cutting his body into pieces using Haki and his axes. Although Sommers survives, he is unable to regenerate.

Gunko threatens Gaban, telling him she will kill Colon if Gaban doesn’t surrender. Gaban, using Future Sight, sees a vision of Colon being pierced by Gunko’s arrows and chooses to surrender. Gunko stabs Gaban and throws him from the tree.

We then get a flashback of Brook’s past, revealing that he knew Gunko long before he became a pirate.

Gunko momentarily regains control of her mind and attempts to free Brook.

However, Imu takes control of Gunko’s body and is enraged, declaring that the Holy Knights took too long to act. Meanwhile, the Holy Land is burning and under attack.

The chapter ends with Imu saying, "Mu will show how a god rules over the world."
