LEYTE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL HOSTS SSLG GRAND ELECTION RALLY
Leyte, Leyte (January 29, 2026) โ Excitement filled the Ray Millenium Gym as students of Leyte National High School gathered for the much-awaited Grand Rally of the Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG) Election. The event was more than just a political exercise โ it was a celebration of student voice, passion, and leadership.
Two parties, SIGLA (Strong, Innovative, Genuine, Leaders for Action) Party and HIRAYA (Humble, Inspiring, Resilient, Active Youth Advocates) Party, took center stage as their candidates presented platforms and advocacies that reflected the hopes and concerns of the student body.
The program began with speeches from all candidates, each sharing their vision for the school community. Supporters waved banners and rallied behind their chosen leaders. The atmosphere was electric โ a mix of youthful energy, competitive spirit, and genuine camaraderie.
The debate segment, which came at the end of the rally, was the highlight of the afternoon. Candidates from the highest position of President down to the Protocol Officer engaged in lively exchanges, defending their platforms and answering challenging questions. The debate not only tested their leadership skills but also gave students a clearer view of the qualities each party brings to the table.
The Grand Rally ended with anticipation hanging in the air. As the election draws near, one thing is clear: the students at Leyte National High School are ready to make their voices count and shape the future of their community.
