Can investigators build a criminal profile from a crime scene alone?

In Episode 2 of our Criminal Profiling series, you'll learn how professional investigators analyze crime scenes, interpret offender behavior, and begin developing a criminal profile.

Discover the difference between physical evidence and behavioral evidence, why victimology matters, how investigators identify behavioral patterns, and why a criminal profile is an investigative guide—not proof of guilt.

In this lesson, you'll learn:

How criminal profiling begins
Physical evidence vs. behavioral evidence
Why victimology is important
How offender behavior reveals investigative clues
How criminal profilers identify patterns
Why profiles change as new evidence is discovered
The role of criminal profiling in modern investigations
Whether you're a criminology student, board exam reviewee, law enforcement professional, or simply interested in criminal investigations, this lesson provides a practical introduction to how profilers think during real investigations.

🚨 Can investigators identify a criminal... without ever seeing the suspect?

Most people think solving crimes starts with a suspect. In reality, it often starts with behavior.

Every crime scene tells a story. The offender's choices—how the crime was planned, the victim selected, the location chosen, and even the escape—can reveal valuable clues about who committed the crime.

In this first lesson on Criminal Profiling, you'll learn:
🔍 What criminal profiling really is
🧠 How investigators analyze offender behavior
⚖️ The difference between criminal profiling, DNA profiling, intelligence profiling, and racial profiling
👮 Why criminal profiling is a valuable investigative tool in modern law enforcement

Whether you're a criminology student, board exam reviewee, law enforcement professional, or simply fascinated by criminal investigations, this lesson is for you.

BAGONG SYSTEM FOR CRIMINOLOGY GRADUATES? 🇵🇭👮‍♂️

PROPOSAL: Officer-Track Criminology Program (OTCP) in the Philippines

⚖️ LEGAL CHALLENGE FOR REGISTERED CRIMINOLOGISTS

📖 Hindi ito simpleng opinion poll.

✅ Konstitusyon
✅ R.A. No. 11131
✅ Civil Service Laws and Rules
✅ Administrative Law
✅ Supreme Court Jurisprudence

📌 I-swipe ang bawat image at sagutin ang bawat legal challenge. 🤔

💬 Aling tanong ang pinakamahirap sagutin? At bakit?

🕵️ Did you know that the first major criminology theory was born during the Age of Enlightenment?

The Classical School of Criminology, pioneered by Cesare Beccaria in 1764, revolutionized the way societies understood crime. Instead of blaming evil spirits or superstition, it argued that people have free will and make rational choices. This groundbreaking idea laid the foundation for modern criminal justice systems around the world.

📚 Every criminology student and law enforcement professional should know where the science of criminology began.

🕵️ Do you have what it takes to think like a real detective?

A priceless diamond vanished from a locked jewelry store. There are only three suspects, but only one could have committed the crime.

Study the clues carefully before answering. Don't guess—analyze the evidence like a criminal investigator.

💬 Who stole the diamond? 👮 A. Security Guard 🧹
B. Cleaning Lady 💼
C. Store Manager

Comment your answer and explain your reasoning.

The correct solution will be revealed in Part 2.

✅ Ano ang reasonable certainty of conviction?
✅ Kailan ginagamit ang bawat standard of proof?
