Nicene fathers volume IV, St. Augustine, was a prominent Christian theologian and philosopher whose writings influenced the development of Western Christianity and Western philosophy. He was born in Tagaste, Roman North Africa, in 354 AD, and died in Hippo Regius (now Annaba, Algeria) in 430 AD.
