Pride is a silent weight that slowly chains the heart.
It makes us believe we are strong enough without God, wise enough without His counsel, and righteous enough without His grace. Yet the truth remains—pride does not lift us up; it drags us down.
Like a heavy stone tied to our steps, pride delays our walk, weakens our faith, and distances our relationship with the Lord. Before any visible fall, pride first hardens the heart. That is why Scripture reminds us that humility is not weakness—it is freedom.
When we choose humility, we choose surrender. When we let go of pride, we allow God to lead, correct, heal, and restore us. A humble heart hears God’s voice clearly, obeys willingly, and walks lightly in His presence.
Today, examine your heart. What are you dragging that God is asking you to release?
Lay down your pride, and let grace take its place.
Because a humble walk with God is always lighter, deeper, and closer.
