Join KALALAUDAN STREET DANCING 2025!
Kalalaudan Street Dancing 2025 is open to all residents of the Municipality of Linapacan. This will be a showcase of the rich culture of Linapacan's different ethnolinguistic groups, all united as one Linapacan, enjoined to strengthen and highlight Linapacano's culture within the scope of intercultural convergence.
This year, each contingent will prepare two (2) kinds of performances:
1. Warm-up Piece - which will be performed on the street using only light hand props (e.g., bolos, ugsang, fans, baskets, spears, bow and arrow and the like); and
2. Main Piece - or full performance which will be performed at the Municipal Ground.
For the computation of the FINAL SCORE, forty percent (40%) will be derived from the Warm-Up Piece while sixty percent (60%) will be from the Main Piece.

-The choreography should depict customs, traditions, or way of life (e.g. bountiful harvests, weddings, etc.) of any ethnolinguistic group in Linapacan such as Tagbanua, Cuyonon & Agutaynen. The important criterion is the authenticity of the performance based on cultural research.

Only live music will be allowed during the street dancing and presentation. However, amplification is highly encouraged during the performance.
-The criteria for the music shall include authentic rhythm, tradition/customs, creativity, dynamics and melody composition. Songs and chants may also be used.
-As for the production, every group must showcase the culture of the ethnolinguistic group of their choice through use of design, motif, images, materials and textiles of their culture. It should also reflect their own environment, creativity with originality, and dynamic use of basic design principles like harmony, balance, composition, contrast, focus and variation level.
-The costumes are left to the sound discretion of the contingents, but the use of endemic and indigenous materials is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED.
-Props must not include live animals, pyro techniques, slippery materials (oil or water) and dangerous or live weapons.
