Parents, these are words our kids need to hear — again and again.

I attended a parenting talk by Pastor Dennise Sy and Samantha Sy last July 31, and here are my takeaways for each.

As a parent, I’m learning every day that it’s not just about providing for our children’s needs…
Pero kung paano natin sila palakihing mabuti by also speaking life into their hearts.

✅"You are safe with me"
Napaka-importante nito. Our kids need to know that no matter how messy life gets, they can run to us without fear. A place where they can cry, fail, make mistakes… and still feel accepted.

✅"You are loved no matter what"
Hindi lang pag mataas grades o kapag mabait. Even in their worst moments, mas dapat natin maiparamdam ang support at pagmamahal natin sakanila.

✅"You are called and capable"
I want to raise my kids who believe they are made for something great. That they have gifts, talents, and a purpose from God.

✅"You are responsible for your actions"
Mahal natin sila enough to teach them accountability. Na bawat choice, may consequence and that’s how they grow.

In my opinion, our children will don’t just remember what we do for them — they'll remember how we make them feel.

Let’s raise them knowing they are secure, unconditionally loved, full of potential, and guided with responsibility.

Because one day, they’ll pass the same messages on to their own children. ❤️

📌 Parents, this one’s worth saving and sharing.

Let’s be the safe place they come home to. ❤️

Sellers, marketers — read this before you pitch during a crisis like this.

If I were the social media marketer behind this post or even Zac Alvis himself…

This is how I would have used this moment to speak, not just as a seller, but as someone who understands the weight of what many Filipinos are going through right now.

Because marketing should never take advantage of pain and the situation like this. It should advocate for people.

It should make them feel seen, heard, and valued — especially in their most vulnerable moments.

So instead of posting to pitch & highlight privilege or what others don’t have,

I would choose to lead with empathy and say:

"To every Filipino affected by the typhoon, my heart goes out to you. Some have lost their homes, their sense of safety, and their peace.

Someday, I hope every Filipino family gets to experience what it’s like to live in a home that’s safe, secure, and peaceful.

And when that time comes, may we, as sellers, not just promote homes but help people own the kind of living that gives them peace, comfort, and security.

But for now, let’s take care of one another, check in, and do what we can to help"

Guys, your message doesn’t need to be a sales pitch and insensitive:

You can:
•Acknowledge pain with emphaty
•Connect it to your purpose
•Reflect your brand values
•Offer hope
•Call to care

…and still stay true to your brand.

May we all learn to use our platforms not just to market but to encourage, to care, and to be part of the solution.

The past 2 weeks have been a lot. 🥺

Handling multiple pages, running ads, managing and creating content…

All for a newly onboarded client — and I’m doing it all on my own.

Freelancing life isn’t always pretty.

It’s exhausting, overwhelming at times, and honestly, nakakaiyak din minsan.

But I want to honor God....
He has been my strength.
He gives me the energy to show up, the grace to keep going, and the wisdom to do this work with excellence.

Even with all the late nights, the endless to-do lists. What I have right now — is a blessing. I still choose to see it as His favor.

This is an answered prayer.

And God sees our effort, at kung paano tayo lumalaban ng patas sa buhay.

Happy weekend! 😌🙂
